Re: Greek Driving Licence

Will check on the details Warwick. As to driving test, I am 79 and changed my licence when I was in my 60's. No sniff of a driving test. Something else new! Hoping to renew licence (due next year) before my 80th in order to avoid a visit to the trick cyclist. Bob.

At my favourite watering hole they live and chirp away happily amongst the canopy of vine leaves above the tables. Not fussy, as you say Warwick. Just a b****y nuisance! Bob.

Re: Greek Driving Licence

A Brit friend recently renewed her Greek driving licence and was allowed to keep the old one until the new one arrived. Previously one had to surrender the old licence and carry around a piece of paper from KEP to say that one's licence renewal was in process. Small change to the rules? Bob.

Re: How to attach photographs?

On 3rd October 2013 or thereabouts there was an explanation on this forum of how to upload pictures to lic forum using Flikr. I made a note of it and here it is. Hope it still makes sense! To use this on LIC, upload a picture (into Flikr) then click on it, click on 'share' and then grab (i.e. copy) ...

Worth remembering of course that one's card limit applies to the amount one can draw in any one day. Bob.

...I've never been on a flight that took longer than 30 minutes... Who were you flying with, SpaceX? All Aegean flights from Heraklion to Athens are scheduled at 50 minutes. Ryanair always claim that they have the best punctuality record. I cannot imagine that they would schedule the flights for lo...

Re: Water Problem

Whether or not you believe it is all a Chinese Hoax, there is no denying that this year in Crete, water is going to be in short supply. Not helped by additional house-building (swimming pools), new hotels (showers, pools etc) so it is quite likely that we will all be suffering from water shortages s...

Re: Driving

Depending on what the final Brexit agreement contains UK drivers may require an IDP to hire in the EU after the UK leaves the EU. Warwick And one wonders what, after Brexit, UK hirers will want from those of us with Greek licences? I guess that unless they demand IDP's from every European country, ...

Re: UK v Greek Driving Licence

Somewhat off-topic, but may interest some of our older readers. Had always been under the impression that for insurance purposes, as long as one held a valid driving licence, one could drive any vehicle covered by the licence. In other words, it is the vehicle that is insured, not the person. Discov...

Eh? Does that mean that my Greek licence which was renewed last in 2016 has to be renewed again before the due date in 2019?
