Re: The Will of the People

Just to clarify a small point in your post earlier Warwick. You said 'Switzerland is not technically within the EEA, but it bilaterally sticks close to its rules, and is not in the customs union and so it also undergoes customs checks.' We were in Geneva last week and took the opportunity to go to F...

I do think Raab had a point: I can appreciate a point well made, even if I am still on the Remain side; sorry!! B

...Should be on your next one so be careful, if like me you just re create the last bill and change the amount. Thanks Scooby. I can't simply recreate my last payment but my bank does save my regular payments so I can go directly to them without searching through the payment panel. In the case of D...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

An additional point on Greek driving licences was raised at the Embassy Outreach meeting in Vrysses yesterday that ought to be considered by those over 65. Hire car companies don't really want to hire to newly qualified drivers. They usually have additional charges for those under a specified age, ...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

Across Greece there is a major problem with driving tests at the moment. Examiners suspended all driving tests back in October and, as far as I can tell, are still not doing them. There is a backlog of over 20,000 tests. Nobody knows when they will resume and driving schools carried out a protest i...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

Can anyone advise please. I have applied for my Greek Driving Licence. Completed all the required paperwork only to be told that I cannot proceed any further until I have taken and passed the written test. I asked if I could sit this test the next day only to be informed that there is currently no ...

Re: The Will of the People

One of the welcome changes following the Second World War (arguably even the one before that) was the realization that an MP should support and promote the views of his constituents and not browbeat the underclass with bribery and corruption to ensure that the Honourable Member was duly elected and ...

excellent idea. Thank you. Will talk to our local supermarket owner. Maybe get his permission to make some labels and then in conjunction with advice from Social Supermarket, put the labels next to the items concerned. Bob. Are there still collection boxes for the Social Supermarket, Bob? I haven't...

Re: The Will of the People

Flying intra-Schengen (e.g. Greece to Belgium) is where the problems may arise for UK passport holders as the rest of the plane won't even go through immigration controls. But according to the pundits, the Brits should. How are they going to work that one I wonder (see my earlier post). Bob. Once y...

Re: The Will of the People

You are right Mixos. Because UK is 'extra-Schengen' arrivals in Greece (or anywhere else in Europe for that matter) go through a separate channel already and I see no reason why that would change. Flying intra-Schengen (e.g. Greece to Belgium) is where the problems may arise for UK passport holders ...
