Timber or Plastic Decking.

Does anybody have any experience of a contractor who can design and install exterior decking. We have an section of the garden that only looks good in the spring so we need to change it to decking and be able to make use of it all year round.

Recommendations much appreciated.

Re: Pensions

If it sounds too good to be true then it is and I would not go anywhere near it. Heard that many people been ripped off either by the new fund or the UK tax authorities taking their share of your pot when it leaves it current keeper. Be very careful and certainly keep it away from the euro as an inv...

Re: E1 tax submission - prove you're married??

Sorry GlennB but Kilkis is correct in what he has written as we have also checked with our accountant and he confirms we legally can be residents here and still be taxed in the UK. We can be here legally for health or extended tourist reasons and that is what we are happy to do. Should have got a be...

Re: New residency rules post Brexit - reciprocity in Greece

The problem which appears not to be mentioned is unique to Greece. We have been permanent residents here since 2007 but for tax purposes we pay tax in the UK as all money/pensions are generated from the UK. EU residents in the UK pay tax there so it is easy to prove how long they have been resident ...

Re: Film On

Anything that uses the Filmon platform seems to be unavailable now. Could be right as I reinstalled watchallchannels again and it is now using a different platform but as of yesterday it was working fine with no problems. Probably will not watch UK TV this way again as now using uncapped satellite ...

Re: Film On

Filmon has been useless for months so we have been watching Brit TV on http://www.watchallchannels.com Found this some time ago and had no problems. Uses the Filmon platform and there are no adverts which is a great advantage as the adverts used to knock the programme off air and when you reconnect ...

Re: LIVE FACEBOOK Q & A

I discovered yesterday, through a conversation with a friend, that some (perhaps all?) accountants are registering their clients as non-tax resident in Greece by the simple expedient of stating that they are resident in Greece for less than 183 days per year. While we still have no idea what the ou...

Re: Internet in Crete

There is now an uncapped version of Tooway satellite system available and the supplier is Europasat from the UK. If you need any info then you can contact me and I will give you the details. Current monthly rate is €99.95 per month. Same speed as other current Tooway systems and it is not throttled....

Agreed moggieman.

Must be bored with life as this was totally unhelpful and a waste of time typing it and the rest of us reading it!

Re: Easyjet Summer 2017

Have been told the best way to pay is in € if the first trip is from the Euro zone and £ if the starting point is the UK, not the return journey. Having done the sums over the years then this is good advise and it is correct.

Looking forward to when the credit card surcharge is dropped.

Re: electricity without building permit

Our neighbours had a barn and put pigs in the barn for a few months and then got electric installed. A few weeks later the pigs went and slowly the barn changed into a house and hey presto! they have an illegal with electric supply fitted.

Who said they were Greek, you are right.

Re: IKA souda road

Hi to you all. Just received from the UK, form S! and I would like some info from those who have been down this route recently. Over the years Er indoors has always avoided going to IKA and has used Kalyves KEP to renew her book. Do you know if the KEP office will set up the new book or do I have go...

Re: Filmon.com.

In reply to the question, when did it start? It was about the same time as the Euro footy started so quite recently.

Ads are appearing about every 12/15 minute intervals. Could accept them if it did no knock out the channel being watched.

Filmon.com.

We are experiencing problems when trying to watch TV on Filmon. We keep getting adverts that cut the channel we are watching and we have to return to the home page to restart watching the channel and this triggers even more ads. The help desk from Filmon have said it is a new policy of theirs to run...
