Re: DEH payment

Is "driving from home to where I can use the internet to pay a bill" one of the reasons that can be used now?

UK Catch-up TV

I watch some UK TV programmes using Britishtv.club and I am seeing adverts to stream past episodes or box-sets and then the name of the streaming service.

I don't know what "streaming" means but is it possible to do it from here?

Re: FULL Lockdown Monday 6a.m. in Greece

I am 79 years old and diabetic with a pacemaker. THat I think makes me vulnerable and in the UK I would be compelled to stay at home. Do the regulations in Greece prevent me from walking around my local area if I have a completed form?

Re: Catholic Cathedral Chania - mass

Why do so many people comment on things about which they have no personal knowledge? Why don't they ask? If you want to know about Greek Orthodox traditions then go and see a Greek Orthodox priest. If you want to know about Roman Catholic traditions you can consult Bob. IF you want to know about Chu...

Help for isolated elderly

I am 79 years old with all sorts of medical problems including diabetes so I am self-quarantining (is that a word?) After just 4 days a pattern is being established. Firstly, loneliness. Practical things like shopping are easily solved but going for days without seeing anyone is hard. This for sever...

Re: Virus

Whether or not we as individuals are being exposed to the virus here in Chania, the advice concerning handwashing should be heeded and taught as normal to our children. Firstly, applying a "hand cleaner" of the type seen in hospitals and freely available and used, is NOT as effective as si...

Re: Where in Chania can I buy quality leather goods

I had a promise from one shop in "Leather Street" that they would make a folder to my spec. Returned to shop only to find it boarded up with no indication when it would re-open. Man across the road offered something like I wanted but only from a photo on his cell phone. He promised he woul...

Re: Where in Chania can I buy quality leather goods

Looked at Peebee's link. Nearly right but there needs to be a way of holding loose papers. It will be used by a teacher with several pages of homework writing that is marked and then put away until return to school. That the item can hold A4 pads is of no value I'm afraid. Yet again, it looks as if ...

Where in Chania can I buy quality leather goods

I want to give a gift to someone who has done me great service. I am looking for something like I have. I have no idea what it is called! It is a folder, with inside, a pocket and a clip to hold papers. I used to use it to hold papers for a particular meeting. I need good quality leather to make it ...

Re: Download from YouTube

1. I have installed and paid for the latest Youtube Downloader. It is very fast. I am very satisfied. 2, Kikkis I have a quandary - I use often the simple desktop publisher PagePlus that will not run under Windows 10. I am investigating leaving the laptop on 7 and converting desktop to 10 and also w...

Kilkis
That's the way I have been doing it using a lovely one-cup brown teapot.

Two locals say no, Use a small saucepan and boil it for 5 min. or until it is to personal taste.

Going to try that way. Trying various quantities of leaf and tasting. I'll let you know
