I am looking for advice from the "Experts" on this Forum A friend of mine, who has lived in Crete for over 10 years, was stopped by police last week Upon inspecting his licence, he was told that after living over here for over 6 months & 1 day, he should have exchanged it for a Greek ...

Re: Car hire in UK

Andrew, have had a quick look and these firms have no mention of utility bills etc... although I would still take a cc statement but only produce if asked: https://www.europcar.co.uk/EBE/module/render/terms-and-conditions-general-rental-terms https://www.hertz.co.uk/p/hertz-together/driving-licence-...

Re: Car hire in UK

Scooby, I would have said the same as you. If you are showing a credit card, presumably they can check the limit/balance, how does it help them to go through all the address rigmarole. And I must correct you. Having now trawled through T&Cs for about a dozen companies, there is not one that wil...

Re: Car hire in UK

If you are using a credit card with a UK licence you would be very very unlucky to be asked for a proof of address let alone two! Your CC statement would be fine if asked, if there is a problem they may ask for a holding deposit. When I booked with Easirent this last time it is the first time I have...

Re: Car hire in UK

This applies If your Licence is showing a British address: Credit card (will only accept the card you booked with and must be the main driver) Passport, Driving licence and Endorsement check code (valid for 21 days and free) from UK gov website here: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence if you do...

Re: Yannis: The Return

So how big a cheque do you want the taxpayers of the other EU-countries to write in order to satisfy your demands bearing in mind that one cheque in the amount of 100.000.000.000 euro has already been written? Should the taxpayers of UK also contribute or go free view brexit? 8) https://www.reuters...

Re: How to Watch UK TV Abroad

The link to WatchBritishTV in the Expert Review article more or less works but some channels were acting up when I tried it, e.g. BBC1 had sound but no picture. As BST says FilmOn only works now if you pay. I have no idea what film dot com with some extensions means Scooby? Can you post a link? War...

Re: How to Watch UK TV Abroad

Scooby, the article is dated Feb 2016 before Filming started charging. Not that I'm bothered as we get it perfectly via other means! :D Maybe I wasn't clear, the link takes you to filmdotcom with an extension so instead of the 2 minutes you could watch this is live full episodes and free. Other peo...

Mine crashed today and couldn't even open, uninstalled and now installed version 58 which is quite cool, took about 5 minutes.
