Re: Dog on Ferries

We came with our greyhound as foot passengers 10 years ago. We took the ferry from Bari to Igoumenitsa, this being the shortest route at the time. Re: Medicinal Herbs

The Maravel Herb Garden in Spili is worth a trip. Very knowledgeable about the large variety of plants they grow.

Re: Pesty

When was this? The description and tragic behaviour match our neighbour, but he hasn't been here for a month or so. He particularly likes chatting up young girls in front of his wife and that ain't the half of it! An utter turd, imo.

Re: Yellow arrows on the road

Round us, they're for cycle races, showing the cyclists which way to go at junctions. Towards the end of the race, the distance to the line is put on the road too.

Re: No Water

Don't know if the tank place delivers. We put the thank on our roofrack and drove very slowly!

Re: No Water

In case Blighty or anyone is thinking about installing or replacing a water tank, there's a shop on the Omalos Road that sells almost every possible shape and size. About 5 mins inland from the Ethniki junction - can't miss it! We bought a spare to collect rainwater - 500 liters, about 100 euros fro...

Re: Hot Water

I've often wondered the same, Daisy. Never seen a cover, but been tempted to make one as our tank feels warm(ish) to the touch, so can't not be losing heat. Thanks for the question.

Re: House and pet sitter needed in early October

Hi Jane, I hope you have a positive house-sitting experience! If you do, please feel free to recommend that person(s) on this forum. We've been making gentle enquiries for a house-sitter, but sadly have only unearthed negative experiences. (Anything and everything from the person not staying overnig...
