Which ones?

TB Tweet tweet.
Contracted in the 1960s, still alive and kicking today, thanks to 97 injections of streptomycin and two years of daily Inapasade.

Re: Renting AirBnb? Finance Ministry is looking for you..

You are correct Warwick. The original EOT rules still exist for those who want to let for any number of weeks to tourists. It has stringent rules regarding facilities with a points system to qualify, depending on tose facilities. There is no limit on the number of weeks that may be let. Then there a...

Re: Letting Tax

One euro per night per booking for us. It isn't going to break the bank, and we have come to expect a new tax every time the resopnsible minister changes his socks.

Eleni, the shop (Crete & Chic?) next to the accountant's office in Kalyves plateia. They have many and varied good things.

Thanks Phil. I will look in October, though they might be stocking rain hats by then.

Re: Greek Business

You may speak for me Mixos. In any other scenario I might have used :D one of these to make the intention clear. Something about this forum does not encourage it. Do you think we are too serious sometimes?

Re: Greek Business

This post should read as follows;
As I remember it, on my first solo visit to France I was accompanied daily by a cloud of annoying, biting insects. The locals referred to them as "les mouches".

Re: Greek Business

Depressing reading, even for those of us who are well acquainted with the system. What will it take for Greek governments to admit these entrenched systematic failures, and address them?
Answers on a (very large) postcard.

Re: Pine Tree Removal/Pruning

All of which makes perfect sense. The official answer would still be to obtain permission. On the other hand, the local village advice would be to do it without. Pruning to preserve or make safe the tree might pass unnoticed, but a complete tree or two missing could provoke a reaction from anyone wh...

Re: Pine Tree Removal/Pruning

Yes, permission is required for removal, also, theoretically for pruning. Ths architect who built our house had to apply for, and was given, permission to remove any tree that was in the way of the house, but not for the very many others on the plot. I would have thought the local KEP office would b...

Re: Half Litre Pyrex Measuring Jug

A colleague of mine way back in the day was a photography fanatic. He used to use a Linhof camera, I can't remember if it was full plate or half plate but it was absolutely massive. I think it had bellows on both the lens holder and the plate holder so it was possible to create an infinite number o...

Re: Half Litre Pyrex Measuring Jug

The general hardware store in Kalives main street on the left heading out of town westwards, near the post office, unearthed one for a friend a while ago. Not for nothing is it known as "Arkwrights".
