Re: How do I catch a bus? Or taxi?

Information on Chania Urban buses.

Fares are divided into Zone A and B with Mournies in Zone A. You can buy tickets on the bus but it costs more. Tickets are valid for 90 days so you can buy multiple, tickets if you wish.

Re: Camera on my desktop

Out of curiosity did the camera come with a CD? If it did and you used it to load drivers for the camera it is quite possible that it also loaded an App as well. I have a Logitech web cam. I can't remember the model number but it looks like a black golf ball. That came with an App simply called &quo...

Re: The Will of the People

People believe in all sorts of things, Scooby. Elvis is alive and working in a chip shop in Leeds. There is a WWII B52 bomber on the moon. You may be right but if you are not the scata is dangerously close to the blades of the air circulation device.

Re: Ring fence our rights now - British in Europe

The UK has said that it will unilaterally grant EU citizens, already living legally in the UK, permanent residence status even in the event of a no deal. On the face of it that means there is no incentive for the EU to do anything but that isn't exactly the case. The EU have always claimed that they...

Re: Ring fence our rights now - British in Europe

Excellent letter. I support it 100 %. I think they should send it with a covering letter to every MEP, every MP in the 28 member states, every Commissioner and all 28 heads of state asking them to publicly state that they support this appeal and will act on it or, if they don't support it, to public...

Re: Flight time and taxi help!

...Aegean from Gatwick at 11.30am has a 50 min Athens connection (not every day though). If you book through flights with Aegean they will get you to your final destination at no extra cost even in the event of a delay & missed connection... Is that still true with a 50 minute connection time, ...

Re: Flight time and taxi help!

I haven't flown outside the direct flight season for nearly 10 years but back then a 5 hour wait in Athens in one direction was pretty normal. Usually less the opposite way?

Re: Relocating to Crete

According to the British Embassy the Apokoronas area has about 5,000 British ex-pats, the biggest single British ex-pat community in Greece. There are also many other nationalities living there. I could be wrong but I seem to recall that at a local election some years ago many of the candidates had ...

Re: Camera on my desktop

If you open up Skype you should see a left hand panel with your Skype name at the top. Just to the right of your name are three little dots. Left click on those and you get a small drop down menu. The first item is "Settings". Left click on that and you should get a pop-up panel divided in...

Re: The Will of the People

An additional thought on the CTA. I'm not an expert on the CTA but my understanding is that in the almost 100 years since it was first started the VISA policies of the UK and the Republic of Ireland have evolved together. While I wouldn't suggest that they are identical they are probably equivalent....

Re: The Will of the People

...yes every deal proposed leaves the UK (and the EU) worse off, but only regarding the EU. The UK could be better off as a whole being able to strike it's own trade deals worldwide. My highlight in red. Notice that your first verb is unconditional, i.e. that is what will happen, while your second ...

Re: The Will of the People

...So if the uk said that they will not put a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland would the EU do it? I doubt it. I think it would need to be a mutually implemented border. In the old days there used to be two borders. You passed through one control when you left one country and then t...
