She is very friendly, good with cats and prefers to live outside so long as she has a house against bad weather. Her name is Yoda (because of her ears!) ...

Re: IKEA

Yes, IKEA do have a delivery service, we had a sofa delivered by their delivery people. Good service, cannot remember the price but it was not a lot. Make sure you mention that you'll want it delivered when you order it (if they don't ask you) and they'll call you to sort out delivery once it has ar...

Re: renewing by passport

Just go to http://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports and follow the instructions - simples! Eventually got round...

This is one option: http://www.uktvplus.com/. Expatshield is another. Or you can go the XBMC route. Just Google them to get more information and choose the one that suits your particular situation and circumstances.

Maybe too much is being read into the translation given on the website. Could it not be "lost in translation" and really mean the registered owner of the vehicle - or registered keeper as I seem to remember it being called in the UK? It is then up to them to pay the fine or get to get it p...

Answering my own question: according to the police processing of the ticket takes over 6 weeks “as the data sent in to the control centre by the camera needs to be processed and the driver then needs to be identified “! (information today from http://www.apokoronasnews.gr/page10.htm).

Just out of interest, has anybody received or heard of anybody receiving a speeding ticket based on one of the cameras? Or are "they" just getting the system up and running and waiting until the end of the main tourist season before starting to use it in earnest and issue tickets?

You could try updating IE to the current version IE11. Yes, I have some issues with it but generally it is OK.
