Re: ATM withdrawal charges for prepaid cards

I used to use Smart Currency Exchange, but found that CurrencyFair give a better rate - usually about 0.5 cents below the Forex rate, with a fixed €3 transaction fee.
I also have a Caxton card which I only use in emergencies because the rate is not as good.

Re: ATM withdrawal charges for prepaid cards

I have had one for around 10 years and have never been charged for a withdrawal. I've never been charged before either, hence I'm thinking this is a very recent thing. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this, or if one knows of a change of Greek banking policy. I'm in Chania, so I can t...

Re: IKA Renewal Heads Up

Do you not have to provide proof of address to obtain temporary one? pretty sure we did.
Wifey has got one, but she doesn't have any utility bills in here name, rental agreement covered both of us.

...If you already have a temporary one, I can't see that there should be any problem, The problem, as reported by Filippos above, is that if you have been here more than 5 years, which Marmite has, they are not accepting the registration certificate (beige) they are demanding the permanent residenc...

Re: IKA Renewal Heads Up

I am just collecting all the relevant paperwork for the blue permit. They ask for proof of residence. All house related papers and bills are in my husbands name. Anyone any ideas what will qualify as proof of residence in this case? If you already have a temporary one, I can't see that there should...

Re: IKA Renewal Heads Up

Wifey checked this morning, you can renew through the KEP office, however IKA are now insisting, that if your res permit was issued 5 or more years ago, you cannot renew without getting a blue permanent one.
