Re: ... So ...

Maybe he's using it as a précis for "I've been instantaneously understanding your question(s)" - using SO is one word -v- 6.

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

Thanks Warwick - it's good to hear I don't need a ladder! The water/corroded joints story has happened in the (distant) past and there is one box that looks somewhat dodgy - I'll take a good look avrio! Eighteen years ago, the original electrician did use completely inappropriate wire - I suspect he...

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

TweetTweet, That attenuation indicates a terrible line, a bad connection somewhere between your router and the main OTE box Its very high. You could attempt to follow your cable and see if there are any open boxes with bad wiring. Your modem says that your link is 2Mbit. Is that what you actually p...

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

Hi TweetTweet, 1Mbps sounds really slow! When you go to http://www.speedtest.net and do a speed test, what speed does it tell you ? If you did not change the settings of your router: Surf to http://192.168.1.1 Press "status information" Look at these parts: DSL / Link In sync since 2019-0...

Re: Needle aponeurotomy

Have you had your thyroid checked - Dupuytren's and other musculoskeletal manifestations can be found in hypothyroid people. To check the thyroid you'd need TSH, FT4 and FT3 blood tests.

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

...frequently during conversations, it sounds like the other person is talking under water... I get something similar to this problem with Skype running on my desktop PC, which also uses VOIP type protocols. I don't leave Skype running all the time; I only run Skype when I want to talk to one of my...

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

This problem is ongoing for me. Also, when I make a landline call to any UK number, frequently during conversations, it sounds like the other person is talking under water. There's no echo. The other thing I've noticed is that the "on-line" light on the router is sometimes very weak looki...

Re: The Will of the People

Sadly I have this thing about hand gestures, You know the ones, the straight hand like attempting a hard handshake with thumb tucked in and the one where it looks like you are holding an invisible spoon (like in an egg and spoon race) . Blair and plenty more practice it, it shows to me that the per...

Re: The new National Road

I've been trying to see the new route as well - apparently 2 possibilities are being considered. If you scroll quite a way down in this link, (I think) it gives and idea of the 2 options. https://www.parakritika.gr/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/voak.pdf Apparently it will cost and eye watering 1.8 bill...

Re: Athens Airport --the long walk

I've just returned from Barcelona and used *the long Athens airport walkway* - due to people who have clearly never lived in e.g. London (so don't understand the unwritten rule of keep to the right, I dont use travelators or elevators. I happily sped-walked the journey in about 8 and a bit minutes, ...

Re: Cosmote internet router problem

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing our problem. A few months ago Cosmote persuaded us to upgrade our internet router. The old one worked perfectly well but they said this new one would be better. However, since installing it, our connection to the internet drops out at random times, for ...

Re: Satalite?

I use Film on dot com for TV (all UK channels) plus many more (worldwide). It used to be free but now costs around 15 euro a month (so about the same as the UK licence fee). (I Player won't work though). Your mother could also subscribe to a VPN service wherein your computer's IP address can show e....
