Closing bank account due to death of account holder

Hi it's been a while since I've been on here.

Do any of you know how long it will take to close my husband's bank account and what paperwork apart from the death certificate I'm likely to need?

Re: Just popped in to say hi!

Thanks all :D

Kathleen I'm in the UK and hubby is in Malia. I'm over on Wednesday for 2 weeks though.

Warwick, happy new year

Mixos I was a regular many years ago. Moved over to Crete and then had to go back to the UK. Been busy doing 2 jobs but trying to get back to the forum.

Re: Are You Getting Parcels Through?

My friend posted a parcel to Crete at the beginning of December and it's still not arrived. She's guessing it's gone missing.

I've been having problems with pages loading in the last few days. I usually get a message saying the web page can't be loaded but when I refresh it loads.

I'm in the UK at the moment...

I think you'll find that the Malia section of the new National Road is not yet completed. Parts of it are being driven on by locals but the top surface has still to be laid...

Thanks Carol and Carol!

We'll look into it and sort it out if and when the time comes.

Just need to find out where KEP in Malia has moved to.

Hi Carol

We're looking at the possibility of my husband having to get this done. Have you had a response yet?

Thanks

All English information, e.g. English names, UK place names etc were filled in using the Latin alphabet rather than transliterating into the Greek alphabet. I actually filled in some of the information in these cases since it was easier than spelling it out. All of our English information was trans...

We had people around about 2 weeks ago and they filled the form in for us and gave us the 'tickets' to prove that we'd done it. We then went to pay the rent about a week later and our landlord gave us a similar 'ticket' and said that we should give that to the census people when they came round. We ...

Unfortunately, that's how these companies make their money! You either pay for 1 licence and take out a new one if you upgrade your pc/laptop or you pay for extra licences 'just in case'. When I bought my new laptop last year, I decided to use Microsoft Security Essentials instead of upgrading our p...

Does your TV have any other ports? My laptop is HDMI so has an HDMI socket so it's easy to connect. Our older laptop doesn't so I'm assuming this is the same as yours. We connect the audio cables (yellow, red and another colour which go into the TV) and the single end (for ours) goes into the headph...
