Used our phones. My wife who doesn't have an AMKA number has now 'registered'. Thanks though, always nice to see the support you get on the site

Re: Coronavirus vaccine registration

Thanks for the link. Problem we are having is that the site refuses to allow us entry as - due to our VPN I assume - we must be logging from Greece. Anyone else had that problem?

Re: Roll out of the vaccine in greece

I recently - November - registered my S1 and received my AMKA and IKA number a couple of weeks ago. I used Sofia in Kalyves and needed to supply my residence certificate [beige], tax form, passport and my birth certificate With apostille stamp. I needed to send my birth certificate to the UK for the...

Re: Private Cataract Surgery

It was 5 years ago in the Therapeutic Clinic 3 Ν Φωκα Χανια. Costs were split - approximately - 600 for the Ophthalmologist and 700 for the Clinic.

I had cataracts done in Xania Clinic privately. Total cost was about 1300 euros per eye.
The results are amazing, good luck

Re: Flue jabs

I enquired at the local Pharmacy. I was told : a. It is not available yet b. I would need a prescription from the doctor c. To submit the prescription ASAP as the expectation was that there would 'not be an excess of vaccinations' available. I am going though the process with my S1 just now so - I a...

S1 and KEP

As I am now an 'official' pensioner I received my S1 form. I was going to ask re the procedure at the Kalyves KEP but not sure if I need to make an appointment or just queue at the door?
I guess they will help with the same question about going to the IKA office.

Re: Praise for the Greek government

I have nothing but praise for the government and for the peoples response. Is though there another factor 'protecting' Greece? Even densely populated areas e.g. Athens seem to have survived much better than other equivalents elsewhere. I have no agenda but any thoughts? Tourism could benefit from pr...

S1 and IKA

I have recently been promoted to the vulnerable class and received my S1 a few days before the lockdown. Not sure of the procedure now - is the Kalyves KEP open or.... Want to try and fix it before the exorbitant private health insurance becomes due. Yes my Greek is poor at best and yes I have no ex...
