Re: Replacing lost Resident Permit

I have no direct experience, however as your records will be on file at the Police station you attended, then with appropriate ID, eg Passport, I would think that the process should be straightforward. Do you have photocopies? They may be useful. Also, have in mind that some Poli...

Re: CAR TYRES

Just re-read this thread and it occurs to me that should a car with out of date tyres be involved in an accident, this might void the car insurance policy? Also, it is worth advising those who are having tyres replaced, to check the date on the new tyres as with hindsight and the knowledge gained fr...

Olive Oil Process Question

I have been wondering. How does it work at the olive oil factories when individual growers bring in their crops and want their own oil exclusively? Or do they have no choice and it all goes into one big press amd what you take away with you is a mixture of yours and everyone else's?

Re: Read this before you buy car insurance in Greece!

Also, just to add, your agent should be able to provide you with a very short interim policy of about fourteen days if you want to take out the policy before you know the new car's registration. Or you could ask your dealer to email you over a copy of the log book which you can then send to your ins...

Re: Read this before you buy car insurance in Greece!

We have just sold a car to buy a new one and thought, wrongly, that our buyers could take on our car insurance, as it is the car which is insured and not the driver/s. When the car is sold/passed on, the log book changes names to the new owner and this means that the insurance, in your name, legally...

Re: Heating my home

When we first moved here we rented a U-shaped old stone house which was very cold in the winter months, with no central heating and only AC units which would pump out warm air. They were useful but for that particular Winter, not sufficient. We invested in a couple of blow heaters and a gas heater (...
