Re: That's all right then

Tim makes a good point. My partner had private health care a year ago, with an excess of €1800. He had two operations that year - one cost €2000 so we didn't claim. The second cost €4000 and we claimed minus the excess. The policy cost iro €2500, so last year was expensive. This year my partner turn...

Re: Getting rid of coins

 Well, then perhaps I can see a local charity box suddenly weighing more in the near future? PS: Start collecting one euros maybe. We do that with a money box from the post office which can only be unlocked at the post office and then treat ourselves with its contents :D Or in your case shine o...

Re: Getting rid of coins

Whilst I, in no way, want this forum ever to become like Facebook, I do sometimes wish I could 'like' or 'chuckle' at some posts.
Your desceiption shine on, had me, in equal measures, both pitying you and chuckling. Let us know if you ever get cashed up won't you :D .

Re: Best places to source DIY products?

I love the friendliness of the local shop keepers. One recently gave us a gift of a book on local flowers which she thought we would enjoy! Another time we visited a small tool shop and came out with a puppy ...

Re: Best places to source DIY products?

Praktiker also deliver. We bought, on line, a lot of metal shelves/racking for our basement and boiler room and they delivered pretty quickly. Downside was that we didn't actually look at the racking up close and touch it but we to-od and fro-od with them on line, asking particular questions before ...

Re: Best places to source DIY products?

Hi, not sure how to link you, HOWEVER, if you look under one of the headings on the main forum page 'shops, doctors, suppliers' section, there is a topic not too far down the page called 'flamethrower' where Kilkis provides links to two places. I have only been to the first, on many occasions, and i...

Re: Costings

Still, I don't like the thought of helping to create humidity in the home in this way. It can't be good for one's health :|
