Re: Vodafone 4G

1, I got the announcement on the 10th. Don't worry it's not a huge [any?] step forward  2. I listen to Radio 2 when working and sometimes when walking the dog. When I'm in range of our Wi Fi it won't/doesn't make an internet connection even though it shows a full 4G connection. When out walking...

Vodafone 4G

Since the announcement that the 4G network is 'ready for action' and the SMS saying to reset my phone can't get any service and it appears to have wiped my PAYG balance of all minutes, texts and Mbs.
Anyone else have a problem?

Re: Alternative Electricity Supplier

Though some form of competition to ΔΕΗ should be welcomed. By forcing utility monopolies to supply a 'Wholesale Product' then competition can enter a market that would otherwise be closed due to the cost of establishing, and inefficiency, of creating another electrical network. Alternatively you can...

Manolis - 697 225 9764 is a good guy. Did the cleaning and fitting of mesh to avoid birds nesting.
Doesn't have a lot of English but simple words on both sides works good as I found out.

Airport Delays

Anyone heard of unusual delays at Xania due to the Schengen/non Schengen flights? We have friends arriving on Sunday - on the pre-dawn Norwegian flight :? - so arrival should be ok but the return flight could be worrying if there are problems?

Re: Loos in the News

Agree about the state of the toilets and I would suggest not only restricted to Kalyves and Almyrida.
Tourists don't have votes though so ....
Does the municipality have a dedicated tourist rep or office?

Re: Taxing motorbike

With my asphalt destroying 125cc I use the same site as for the car.
Am I doing something wrong or is this the 'moped' versus motorbike thing?

Re: Bringing a cat permanently to Crete

Brought both of ours here and didn't regret it.
As for neutering, the vets do a fantastic job. They did 54 cats in one day this week in the Apokoronas. That's down from previous session and hopefully it's finally having an impact,

Re: Associate membership proposal

As Germany didn't exist until after the 1871 Franco Prussian war then blaming "time immemorial" may be stretching it a bit? France and the UK probably have as good a claim on ' who warred the mos t' prize. I voted in the first UK referendum and it seemed so obvious that given Europe's hist...

Reccomend Dog Village - on the road to Xania Airport. Leonidas is all about dogs - his father was a dog handler with the police and his holidays from the kennels are when he goes to Athens to visit dog shows. Both he and his mother are lovely, he would be happy to show you around if you want before ...

Re: NOW TV

Wouldn't 'Now TV' be linked to a specific satellite which wont be available here?
Remember to check what BB speed you have before deciding on best solution but most, if not all, have found a solution.
