Re: Boost water pressure in shower

In my new rented house, the water pressure in the shower is low. Is there any device that can be attached to boost the flow? You don't say whether the pressure is low to all the outlets or just the shower. If it's just the shower, it might indicate a problem that might not be solved by adding a pum...

Re: State pension inequality

The article is based on a serious academic paper . Obviously academics have their own political biases, like everybody else, but certainly not conspiracy theory. It makes reference to many other studies and uses a very wide range of sources for the data used so you certainly cannot dismiss its conc...

Re: State pension inequality

Have a read of this that might help explain why the money available to spend on public services is not clear. https://www.thecanary.co/uk/analysis/2019/11/18/the-tories-run-a-secret-welfare-state-for-rich-people-that-costs-taxpayers-up-to-180bn-a-year/ Interesting article. Re: Gardens and Grass

A rainwater storage system sounds lovely doesn't it? However, Crete is not the UK. In the UK the tank will constantly be topped up. Here, we get almost no rain for 5 months or so in the summer. How big a tank could you install? Once you've used up what rain fell in the winter it will just sit there ...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Excuse my ignorance, but I've stopped taking any interest; what exactly will we gain by "leaving", whilst staying in the Single Market and the Customs Union? Genuine question. Andrew No one can honestly say what we would gain by any of the options from No Deal to Remain and everything In ...

Re: Recycling smartphones

If you Google "smartphone recycling websites", you will find various sites that will pay you for an old phone. They tend to major on the popular brands, but if your phone is listed, you could get paid for it. Worth a try?

Re: Ratios of buildings dimensions and size and position of site

......I'm surprised it is a 400 sqm limit for such a large plot since mine is almost that for a 510 sqm plot. Perhaps there is an upper limit of 400 sqm on a single plot inside a village like the 200 sqm limit outside the village boundary? In most, (all?) places there is an upper limit of 400 sqm. ...
