There may be broader support now, but it was only driven there by the SNP, more accurately a few power hungry politicians.

Re: Alarming rise in cases on Crete.

I quite like the sound of "the fascist Left". Quite a few of those around. Andrew An oxymoron! First time I came across the expression was Trump who referred to 'extreme left-wing fascists'. Someone else who doesn't know what Fascism really is in political terms! Bob You do realise don't ...

Re: Nomad in Chania

I think I have resolved your confusion, Andrew. Nomad's Crete Express service is designed as a depot-to-depot service. You arrange for packages to be delivered to their depot in Peterborough and you pick them up from their depot in Vamos, which is Jon the Butcher's shop, or vice-versa. His wife She...

Nomad in Chania

Does anyone have a telephone number for the British couple who, I'm told, run the Nomad shipping base in the Chania area?

Cheers

Re: WIFI calling ...

I would be surprised if they did. Cosmote certainly provide a modem that is a hybrid landline/4G version to boost speeds in areas where the quality of the landline is poor. They also do a 4G only version to provide a broadband router for people with no landline possibility. I am not saying that the...

I think Cosmote do the repeater thing as a packaged service? They supply the aerial etc.

Re: Cost of driving licenses

Apparently, in Agios Nikolaos, the KEP is the only place you can change a UK licence to a Greek one. They have agreed you do not need a translation of your UK licence.

Re: Tax Reduction

Yes, there have been articles in the Greek press about paying in 8 instalments but I haven't seen any information on how to set it up, Andrew. Out of curiosity, why do you need to go into Taxisnet in order to pay your bill? I just do it with internet banking using the payment code on the tax demand...

Re: Tax Reduction

Also, note that you can now pay by, I think,8 installments. Not sure of the exact number as I didn't take any notice when I paid my bill via Taxisnet. The payment notice your accountant gives you only shows 3 installments, but there has been a new law passed to allow 8 installments. Your accountant ...

Jackdaw I find your reply REPULSIVE ! Iknow that you don't live in Crete, but have a holiday home here! IF you did live here, you would maybe, be sympathetic, to the elderley population, who live in the mountian regions of Crete, which is where I live & this was quote from the owner of my local ...
