Re: Beconase nasal spray

Hi SusieQ. Looks similar to Beconase regarding structure and mode of action so I'll give it a try. Thanks for your help.

Beconase nasal spray

Hi All. I'm trying to get hold of some Beconase nasal spray (beclometasone dipropionate) but the chemists I've tried only seem to have the inhalers/atomisers. It may be marketed under a different label here in Greece particularly as GSK have sold the rights. Has anyone been able to obtain this here ...

Re: Help!!

Hi. Would it be possible to send a covering letter to your friend then get him to forward it to the insurers with Post Office postal orders to the required amount? No bank details needed and no opportunity for money laundering.

Hope you get sorted.

Re: Slug pellet theft.

Hi Warwick. Yes, I'd managed to convince myself that there are no slugs on Crete as it would be too dry for them in the summer. It seemed logical as the snails seem to seal themselves up and go into a sort of hibernation for a while. Then I moved into my latest rental with Lots of rotting wood aroun...

Slug pellet theft.

Hi All. I have been planting up my garden and putting a few of the blue slug pellets around some of the smaller plants. However, the pellets keep disappearing in parts of the beds. After a bit of investigation it seems that the ants in my garden have taken a liking to them and carry them off undergr...

Solicitor in the Chania area

Hi All. Hope you are all well and enjoying the late spring.

Can anyone recommend a good English speaking solicitor in the Chania area?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: Vrisses incident

Hi Warwick. My thoughts and question were in part due to the post you put up a while ago regarding the role of village elders arbitrating in inter-family issues. I haven't been here long enough to understand the Cretan psyche regarding what's viewed as help, interference or an insult to the individu...

Re: Vrisses incident

If you read the original post you NUMPTY you'll realise that the story is 'in short' as stated and not the full account. Three lads who'd scarpered to round up, a victim, various passers by to explain what had happened, talking to said ex-pat who agreed to go to the police, my new landlady was with ...

Vrisses incident

I saw an incident yesterday in Vrisses the like of which I haven't seen here before and hope I don't see again. In short, a lad, probably in his early teens, called another boy over in an amiable fashion and then punched him square in the face probably breaking his nose. Lots of blood etc. it took h...

Re: Electricity and water registration

Hi. Thanks again Warwick. I've been told to go to Vamos Town Hall to register the water account for my area (Kefalas). I'm sure if that's not correct they will point me in the right direction. Hopefully not just the door!

Best wishes for 2015.

Electricity and water registration

Hi All. I will be moving to a new rental in the near future and this will be the first time I will have had to register as the electricity and water consumer. Previously the owner has just passed on the bill for me to pay or it has been a shared supply. Could anyone advise me regarding the registrat...

Mother's Ruin.

Does anyone know where I can buy a bottle of Hendricks Gin in the Chania area? I'm sure I've seen it over here but can't remember where.

I think you are probably correct filippos. Having thought about it a Dutch Hoe would be fine for 'prepared' flower/veg beds but I can imagine it would be pretty uncomfortable to use in rocky soil. I suspect the tools available here are more suited to general cultivation locally. One more item for my...

Thanks Filippos. I tried the nursery but didn't think to try Fertility. I'll take a look next time I'm passing.
