Re: The Will of the People

I wonder did you laugh at the ludicrous NHS promise on the bus, did you laugh at the idea of 'taking back control ', about 'securing our fisheries ' ha ha, about stopping migration - 100 refugees located in the Channel this past week alone. Naw, if there's laughing to be done it has to be at the nai...

Re: Change Of Heart?

Ok Jean, I give way. I will delete this thread a little later.
At least it energised Graeme to respond after so many years, for that we may be thankful.

Re: Change Of Heart?

, I only hope your children can swim. That iceberg is approaching rapidly.
Only for the EU, and its quota the UK - if it continued on its pre EU entry fisheries policy (sic) - would have no fish left in their indigenous fishing grounds. Of course, if all else fails there's always Icelandic waters!

Re: Change Of Heart?

Now now Warwick, so the basic criteria is not to annoy people! I appreciate the forum is extremely busy and congested, and have many many other issues to debate and discuss, so on that basis I apologise for taking up so much valuable space and being passionate about one of the greatest self imposed ...

Change Of Heart?

Just an observation. I wonder, is there a basic sea-change amongst Brexiteers. Many original Brexit protagonists of my acquaintance are now claiming that this proposed hard Brexit or Cliff-edge is not what they voted for and certainly was not what the Leave campaign promised. I have detected a reluc...

Re: Roman Catholic Easter service in Irareptra

I don't know if this is any help. Although I'm not religious I remember going to a Roman Catholic Mass in Agios Nicolaos with a friend of mine. He explained to me that the Greek Orthodox church loaned their church to the Catholic priest for a service once a week or once a fortnight.

I-BANK

This may be of some help. Just returned from Crete after a great two week holiday. Part of my mission was to open an I-Bank account. My situation was of having a current account in Greece subject to the usual capital controls that are currently in place. This permitted a weekly withdrawal of 420 eur...

Re: Ballot papers

Of course I meant billions Warwick. Yeah, Diane Abbot's maths aren't the best. Very poor form for a potential senior Minister. I see Gove made similar mistakes but escape the wrath of the sycophant newspapers/propaganda sheets. BTW Warwick , your analysis of the the entire Brexit debacle is excellen...

Re: Ballot papers

Excellent contribution Warwick. Of course the opening item on the agenda, £50/60 million divorce bill will scupper the talks. If paid it will scupper May and the Tories, if not paid it will scupper the negotiations and hence the British economy. May and her cronies knows this, hence the outlandish m...

Re: Ballot papers

It's now apparent that May wants to throw the election. The Tory manifesto is possibly the worst I have witnessed in sixty years. Me thinks May knows that Brexit is impossible to deliver on without destroying the British economy, hence the deliberately aggressive and savage manifesto, particularly i...

Re: Thought we'd seen the back of him

For goodness sake wise up and remove the blinkers before you fall into the Brexit abyss. The message is what matters. Blair's argument, for the most part, was irrefutable and brilliantly delivered. Blair knew what to expect from the nay- sayers but for anyone who was prepared to hear him out he made...

Re: the pound

Actually peebee the pound is down 15% since the referendum. What ever about 2008 Kelkis it has dropped this amount since June 24th. Peebee would want to get out an about to see how this fall is affecting the pound in his pocket. It may well be the case the fall in value does not affect Peebees lifes...

Moved 2 Crete
Pound still falling, inflation rising and jobs being lost all over the place. The experts warned us of this, of course what would they know
All this before article 50 is triggered!
