My British driving license is just about to run out, so I need to get a Greek one. What did you need to do this and can I just go to KEP and get it all done?

The 4th of October is World Animal Day.

The 4 October was originally chosen for World Animal Day because it is the feast day of Francis of Assisi, a nature lover and patron saint of animals and the environment.

Ironic?

This is stupid EU bureaucracy.

Market forces would mean that as eco bulbs get cheaper people would gradually replace the old style ones.

There is no need to waste public money having meetings to make laws like this.

Car park? You mean in Crete you don't do it the Athenian way? Just pull up on the pavement directly outside the shop and if that's taken just double park next to the car that took the spot. Don't worry about the mums and their pushchairs they can use the road! If you do that the shop keeper will eve...

When you split a thread you could edit the first post, as admins can, on the new thread and just put a link to the topic it came from and something like "split from this thread"

Well at least they stopped smoking in my office, so now I don't have to breath it at work.

Now it's just whether I will be able to go out in the winter to eat or not. Time will tell.

If you eat (northern?) Greek style of putting lots of dishes in the centre of the table and everybody digging in then the more people there are the cheaper it is per person. Seems to happen with starters in Crete but people here seem to prefer their own main dish. This happens everywhere I go. So I...

I would definitely change the password.

Sometimes I get mail undeliverable messages, for mails I didn't try to send, and changing the password stops this.

It would give you peace of mind no one else is logging into your account.
