Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

It's not just me, me, me though. I feel privileged to have been able to plan my life/retirement in Greece with relative ease (Greek paperwork aside). I have young relatives who are hoping to live and work in Berlin and start a new exciting life abroad. If BREXIT happens, this will be highly unlikely...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Kamisiana, I too have missed out by 6 years on my pension and the extra which I expected, would have certainly helped! However, Brexit and the thought of selling up here (possibly at a loss) , moving the strays we have taken in plus everything else to a country we really don't want to live in anymor...

Dog found possibly lost not dumped?

Lovely affectionate boy, hunting dog type, appears to be fully vaccinated up-to-date and neutered, pink collar, found Paleloni today. Possibly micro chipped . Will find out Monday when vet opens.

And mine was done in state hospital. A provide everything yourself job, which I did. Bargain from a NHS point of view!
All the best Bob for a speedy recovery.

Re: EHIC CARD LOST

Saddler, you haven't read all my comments. The writing in red wasn't there a few years ago. It's changed. Plus I've actually saved the NHS money.
The operation would have cost more in the UK under the NHS than in Crete hospital according to a surgeon who has worked for the NHS.

Re: EHIC CARD LOST

GlenB I have plenty of grounds for complaint. I don't think you really grasp the change in the state pension age and all that entails or to make matters worse, the impact of Brexit. When we moved to Crete we knew we couldn't swap over healthcare until our state pension age of 66. Bad enough to have ...

Re: EHIC CARD LOST

I think the card is an EU benefit. Don't think it's in the gift of the UK government to continue it unilaterally.

Andrew[/quote]

Both paid for by NHS not the EU so fundamentally what's the difference?

Re: EHIC CARD LOST

Actually Glen nowhere in the small print of the original info about EHICs did it say "emergency treatment". The wording was quite different and very ambiguous and open to interpretation. If EHICs were purely for emergency treatment of holiday makers, why have holiday insurance? I have cert...

Re: EHIC CARD LOST

Your right Bob. Makes me sick as a parrot! I can't see why they will continue to cover S1 people (maybe only for 6 months of course) but are taking away the EHIC!!!! So mean and unfair.....AGAIN!
