Re: sourdough bread

I think you may be referring to the 'overflow coat rack'.

Any recommendations of where to find a 'motivation pill' to start pedalling so to remove my acquired covid-variant spare tyre?!?

Re: sourdough bread

Spot on location Warwick. Lots of parking space.

One can also enjoy a good coffee there and sample some of their tempting non-bread offerings!!

Re: Census Form

Two lovely ladies handed me my Census leaflet (with personal reference number and helpline telephone number) today. I understood them to say that, when completing online, it will all be in Greek i.e. no mention of a button to be able to complete it in English, but am happy to be corrected! If correc...

Clipper Blade Sharpening

Does anyone know of a service on Crete or might the only source be Athens?

There are DIY videos on YouTube, but I would rather not take any chances!

Any contact details appreciated.

Managed to complete my dog's trim today, but there was a bit of 'dragging' so think it is time for such a service.

Re: Access to UK televsion channels

Personally speaking Jane, I would go with Cosmote. I have a landline with OTE/Cosmote but my ISP connection was with Vodafone. For (very) historical reasons, my original connection for Internet only was with Hellas on Line who eventually were aborbed into/by Vodafone. I don't have any issue with Vod...

Re: Firefox Version 89.0

Ah, not just me having issues with FF 89 changes! My bookmark folders are not double spaced but the folders have no colour anymore and cannot find a solution (yet). The Firefox 'home page' search bar that opens in the 'middle' of the page in a new tab does not respond at all i.e. no cursor, could no...

Re: Driving licences

With respect Mike, I was simply seeking clarification on the actual wording in the Greek Ministerial Decision - never said or implied that I would not do so.

Re: Roll out of the vaccine in greece

Just to say/confirm that Vryses KEP also advised there is a problem with the emvolio website.
She said they are waiting day-by-day for an update.

Anyone know where to get a 'patience pill'?

Re: S1 and AMKA

Thanks, as ever, Warwick. Indeed, it was the Catch-22 that prompted my post and I am certainly of the 'not spend money until proven essential' / 'take the fat folder with everything in it' brigade! A copy of the ΥΠΕΥΘΥΝΗ ΔΗΛΩΣΗ will be useful to have in the 'fat folder' please/thanks. Will report ba...

S1 and AMKA

My S1 arrived on Friday which, of course, I now need to register with IKA (Chania offices). Has anyone got up to date experience of what documents I will need to take with me once I have a confirmed appointment? Also, any guide how how long it takes? As regards AMKA, who actually would I apply to fo...

DEH - Change of name on death of account holder

On behalf of a friend, can anyone advise the correct procedure for changing the name on the account to that of the spouse on death of the account holder .... and is there a cost for doing so? Property bought in joint names but their ,DEH account was only in the wife's name who sadly is deceased. Mig...
