Re: International driving permits for UK drivers from 28 March 2019

Did mine today, in and out 15 mins. All that was needed a photo, licence and £5.50. Must say surprised how easy. Had i think the same problem as "jackdaw" as don't seem to understand when you have multi driving classes on your licence. Had to explain HGV entitlements.

Re: Any advice please on travelling with my cat

Voni " It seems I can remain “in transit” at Athens airport, "

Have never known this to happen even when travelling both legs with the same airline. Where or who told you this would take with a (big) pinch of salt.

Re: Any advice please on travelling with my cat

Hi, Have no idea how cats are treated at Athens airport but do know you come out of the arrival hall go up the stairs and have to re-go through security. There is no direct transfer.

Re: Please explain

You should try explaining my father's name is the same as mine. That does not compute into Greek logic.

Re: Currency Index

No, you can transfer in from any of the currency exchange companies. And transfer out to where you want. But can't put cash in but you can (if you wish) take out cash (Euros )with prior notice at any H.S.B.C Branch.

I don't know if you are aware but H.S.B.C has a current account that allows you to hold Euros in that account and then you can transfer to where you want. Transfer cost is 6 Euros.

£ 10000 to Euros Transferwise = 11445e
£10000 to Euros via CurrencyFair = 11431.0e

Not a great deal of difference but on a large amount does......

Rates compared at the same time.

Re: hydrochloric acid

Try your local swimming pool shop as i know they buy it in and dilute it for cleaning pools and concrete.

Muriatic acid is Hydrochloric acid but slightly diluted.
