Re: Selling my car

Hi Jean, the point I was trying to make, albeit badly it seems, was that now we Brits are no longer members of the EU, we cannot just assume that we will be dealt with in the same manner as those expats from countries that still remain in the EU are dealt with. Pre-Travel Covid Test UK

We are returning to the U.K. early February and are now required to produce a negative test prior to travelling. We are no longer in IKA although we have AMKA numbers.

Does anyone know where we can get them done?

Many thanks

Handyman/builder required

Hi, various stone walls in my garden require some ‘pointing’ work. In addition, several terracotta tiles require replacing. Could anyone recommend such a person. We are in the Maleme area.

Re: Where to purchase a Pressure Washer in Chania

Thank you all so much for all your useful info. We finally purchased one from a paint supplier, yes that correct, in Tavronitis. It was a Michelin, cost 186 euros. The one we had previously was purchased from Lidl, and we would have purchased another if available, however I earned brownie points as ...

Re: House Insurance

I was with Intasure and had cause to make a claim following a robbery. They put up every possible argument against paying what was really due, i.e. Requesting invoices for my mothers jewellery which I explained was decades old? I was then informed that If I decided to take a cash settlement , this w...

Buying a car in the UK

I live in Crete but visit the UK regularly, each time having to hire a car which is becoming expensive over the course of the year. I have the chance to buy a small car but cannot insure it as I do not have a permanent British address or have not accrued any No Claims Bonus in the UK. Any help or ad...
