Yes of course it's better to be safe than sorry, we are just eager to start our new life in Crete, Rhodes simply has not 'done' anything for us & now we are just marking time in a flat with no internet surrounded by suitcases & laundry bags!

Boohoo no ferry till Sunday at soonest & the weather forecast is not looking good :(

:( Back to the weather... We are supposed to be travelling by ferry from Rhodes to Crete at 3am tomorrow to start living there. The weather in Crete is OK, the weather in Rhodes is OK but the ferry is stuck in Piraeus due to bad weather! To say we are gutted is an understatement....we are all packed...

from your answer's I think it will be best to wait till we are in Chania.

Which Bank?

We will be moving to Chania later this month and could use some advice please
We have Greek Tax numbers but don't have Greek Bank Accounts yet, which I believe we will need for residency
are any of the banks better/worse any recommendations?

Thank you both, I think I like the sound of the second option best ;) But then as a woman I would prefer the more expensive option, I will need to ask around for a man with a van. I did make an enquiry with Nomad as a British company they are no longer allowed to move goods around within Greece. So ...

Moving to Crete

Hello & thanks for adding me to your forum. I'm sure I will learn a lot from you all. My partner & I will be relocating from Rhodes to Chania in Janùary we are moving from a furnished rental so don't have furniture to bring but do have about 10+ suitcases worth of "stuff" any ideas...
