Banking a cheque

My friend, here on Crete, has received a cheque from a U.S. bank in U.S. dollars. Her only bank account is in Austria. Any suggestions re how to get it paid into her Austrian account other than physically taking it there?

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

I can't speak for all young people (any more than others here can) but my son (aged 23) and his friends are very concerned about politics in the UK. They are especially aware that their futures are being destablised by older men in positions of power. They are very conscious that with an ERG heavy C...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

I am nowhere as well up on the details of deals/agreements etc. as many on here so my question may seem simple, but if (if!) the present Boris Johnson agreement were implemeted into UK and EU law (i.e. if Tories win the election and proceed with the present "deal") would that safeguard tho...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Mixos. Yes, juvenile point scoring. It's a shame, spoiling so much informative informed debate here. Can't be long until we get back to who put a question mark where. Schoolboyish posturing.

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Kookla: as I said, I have been enjoying the serious informed posts on here. My comment about willy waving was in response to recent posts of the "where is the question mark" nature. One of those involved in those exchanges tells me to live with that banter. Banter to some, puerile pedantry...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

As someone coming fresh to this post topic I was being educated and stimulated by much of the earlier discussion. Now it seems to have sunk to who did or did not place a question mark somewhere. ( "oh yes you did", "oh no I didn't"). I don't want to "get used to it" so ...
