Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Jacob Rees-Mogg has doubled down on his criticism of the neurologist, Dr David Nicholl, who he attacked on LBC. When questioned about his attack he accused him of being as irresponsible as Dr Andrew Wakefield, the doctor who falsely linked autism to MMR vaccinations. As a back bencher he was genera...

Re: Latest EHIC & Reciprocal Healthcare

Greek companies don't seem to want to cover anyone over 65. We've used before, and may again (if forced to) http://www.healthcareinternational.com - They will cover you as long as you are under 75 when you take out the policy, and it is then renewable for whole of life, according to their FAQs. Hope...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

MAUD.... Can you not shout at people. You try to take the moral high ground but with sweeping statements belittle anyone who does not agree with you and then finish with a rewrite of recent history to fit your own views. Nothing to see here. Quite. This isn't the place for playground namecalling. C...

Under the constitution, as it stands, she had little choice. What she thinks, privately, is anyone's guess.

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

One thing that has clearly changed is the Brexit which was promised......one where very little would change. Many people voted for Brexit believing there would not be any job losses, businesses would be able to carry on importing and exporting with the EU and the rest of the world without any extra...

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

'Bumps in the road' - unlikely to affect any of the Johnson household and others like it. It will be a different story in households who are in the JAMS as TM so poetically described the people in the UK on the breadline. The guy just doesn't have a clue how the other half live. Bob. Not only does ...

Timber Merchants

Does anyone know of a "proper" timber merchant in Ag Nik or anywhere to the east, as the one in Sitia which we've used for many years is now more or less defunct, and we'd prefer not to have to trek to Heraklion to Praktika!

TIA

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Labour will not vote for it because they want a sigle market - customs union solution. The parliamentary maths have not changed. Warwick What Labour want, possibly misguidedly given recent opinion polls, is a general election. Both major parties are only interested in saving their own skins. Some o...

Re: Quad bike - tax, insurance etc.

Further to what Warwick has just said. The Greek tax authority seems to have no concept that people buy certain items out of capital. If you can get your head round that, then the notion of imputed income makes a little more sense - outrageous though it seems to those of us who are used to being tax...

Re: Quad bike - tax, insurance etc.

Forgive my (marked) ignorance Kamisiana, but why would a vehicle need to be included on a tax return? It is an outgoing after all. TIA Blakey_Bloke In Greece a vehicle is seen as an asset . Which needs to be declared on the return the following year - ie if you buy one now you will need to declare ...
