Re: ENFIA Property Tax online now

It’s nearly 20% of the total that we paid. Can this be right? 20% fine for 1 month. We paid the figure that reads total in one payment. Same as last year.
It seems to have reduced by just over 20% from last year though for the Mrs & 26/27% for me ......

Re: ENFIA Property Tax online now

Just a quick update We managed to get our references (my wife and I) through a friend and we paid it today via the bank We paid what is translated as “Total amount of Debt” There is a figure on the summary sheet (the only thing we managed to get) that reads: Ληξ/σμο Ποσό & προσgυξήσεις, τόκοι , ...

Re: ENFIA Property Tax online now

If you have a Greek bank account you can certainly pay it online from your bank. The ENFIA statement gives you the payment code for paying in one go or by instalments so you will need that. It is NOT the same as last year so you need the latest statement. I doubt if you can pay it direct from a UK ...

Re: ENFIA Property Tax online now

Not been on here for a while but as always, grateful for you knowledge and input! We have a query regarding fines as we are away and not received any information on our property taxation. Our Accountant is absolutely useless and never answers emails or phones for that matter! We have every intention...

Re: A serious Question

We are both 53 years old. Do we have to go through tests even if we can get medical history from our GP?

Any idea of current costs for a couple of our age? Emailed a few people for quotes and waiting to hear!

Re: A serious Question

Thanks lady and Gents, great input as usual. Taxation like Warwick says is a complicated issue. Some countries (US as an example), withhold tax on behalf of the UK and others where it’s tax free (ME region) has to be taxed by the UK as we are still UK tax residents. We had the residence certificate ...

A serious Question

How best can we prepare for the high probability of a no deal Brexit? There is no way we would give up on our dream of living in Crete now that we finally got our home right and are much happier living here. We are not of retirement age and still pay tax heavily in the UK (we can easily change that ...

Re: The Will of the People

I along with many people I know who previously accepted the result of the referendum now supporting a 2nd vote because of the clear lack of capability of elected politicians to deliver on the will of the people (52% of them) while protecting our country!! The choice is no longer just leave or remain...

Re: Flight time and taxi help!

If you travel with Sky express from Athens (or Thessaloniki) you would automatically get access to the lounge with decent food and good WiFi. Did it a few times and time passed very quick when you are comfortable, in contact with the world or doing Work.
Just an idea to consider
