Re: Urgent PLF query

Yes, it tells you at the beginning about it and then you tick the box to confirm it if i remember, and we printed everything out, all prepared for a fight in case there was a problem but there wasn't.

Re: Urgent PLF query

The first time we flew the form was a bit ambiguous and so we did one each, but now the form instructs you right at the beginning to only fill in one form per household. Although its not a huge hassle to do 2 or more forms you kind of want to do the right thing and do what the greeks tell you to do....

Re: Urgent PLF query

Yes, but 'check with the airline' is easier said than done! Prepare for a very long wait on the phone.
All i can say is we were fine with Ryanair at Bristol.

Re: Urgent PLF query

PS. The forms back to the UK are much more complicated and you need one EACH for that.

Re: Urgent PLF query

We travelled from Bristol to Chania in September with Ryanair and we followed the greek instructions on the form which explicitly say ONE form per household and we were fine ( 2 of us). I know we have heard a few horror stories but the form has been rephrased and is now quite clear.

Re: Crete off UK quarantine list

Wales is annoyed with Boris for just making the non travel thing 'guidance' rather than one of the 'rules' and has made its own rules about not letting people from 'high risk' areas in England in. Tricky to enforce but they are apparently taking car reg numbers on main roads in. I live near the bord...

Re: Crete off UK quarantine list

How annoying, just finished my quarantine too! Why on earth arent the greeks banning the Uk like before? Makes no sense. Also, if the UK are going down the local lockown route then it makes no sense to allow travel outside those areas unless it is for work. They'll be going outside their restricted ...

Re: The young and healthy

A different debate maybe but i have always thought that alcohol is a pretty heavy drug and that the british people have a strange relationship with it. It is certainly not condusive to good behaviour necessary in a pandemic.

Re: 7% tax rate incentive

Yes if the allowance can still be had then that would make a huge difference and would the be worth it but i have to admit i dont really understand how to do that. I think i will need to speak to the accountant.

7% tax rate incentive

Is anyone doing this? Not quite retired yet but i have done the maths and when you count the loss of the tax allowances and swimming pool tax it works out very little difference. This is based on my private pension probablity which isnt huge plus the state pension. Is it perhaps only worth it if you...

Re: Vaping and Coronavirus

Blowing out is so different from normal breathing out so i have no idea why they havent taken that into account. I used to smoke in my youth and any smoker will know that. My daughter used to vape and she would blow out right across the room. I would have thought that was further even than a normal ...

Re: Vaping and Coronavirus

But obviously people breathe in much deeper and blow out much further when they are smoking or vaping so their breath spreads much further so it must be much more risky.

Re: Vaping and Coronavirus

That's one thing i hate about greek tavernas. We always manage to get a table next to smokers, and usually chain-smokers. The smell wafts over us while we are eating. Give me vapers any day. Id rather see it than smell it!
