Re: English TV channels

I'm not totally sure what I'm talking about most of the time, but I seem to have already acquired two adaptors and extra cables when I put in the Greek tv Digibox and then had to have a new little box for the small satellite dish I have. There seems to be nowhere else to plug anything else into now....

Re: English TV channels

I am living in the stone ages on a small pension. I do not have a smart tv so that rules out several options and I am also using a very aged windows pc with XP and that rules out everything else as far as I can see! However Unlocator seems to be working although what a lot of faffing about and there...

Re: English TV channels

Thank you, I am going to try the Unlocator free trial and see how it goes. I did get in a bit of a mess last night with a so-called 'free' vpn which located me in Bulgaria and got me nowhere!

Re: English TV channels

Yes, this is catastrophe, having watched almost entirely uk tv via filmon for must be three years. The only answer has to be a vpn but there seem to be no free vpns worth bothering with. I vaguely remember the fount of all knowledge, Kilkis, saying he used one he was happy with that was budget frien...

Flying Aegean from Athens to Heraklion without a passport.

I'm planning a trip to India but need Visa from Athens Indian Embassy. I need to present myself there in person because of fingerprint and photo biometrics requirements. Visas are only dealt with there between 9-11 a.m. As it takes several days to complete the Visa I want to come back to Crete and m...

Was horrified to read here http://iraklioblog.blogspot.com/2011/08 ... l?spref=fb that the pelican in Giorgopolis (in album 10) has been fed alcohol deliberately and is very sick.... I despair of people.

So you are an angry and irrational man who violently attacks others. I came to Crete escape the likes of you. Please go back where you came from.

I really do have every sympathy with the lady that has been burgled. I have had the same experience and do know what it feels like. What I do not like is people jumping to conclusions - years ago, it was always the Albanians supposedly that had committed crimes. Why cannot anyone see that the Cretan...

Much as I sympathise with the lady who has had her home broken into, I feel I must object to the following poster's racist remark about "undesirables from Africa". Frankly, there are, in my opinion, undesirables from everywhere (including Brits and Greeks) that commit burglaries.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I've been around here many years and I'm not exactly young, and I hate snow and being cold wherever I am. My shoes are leaking and my feet are wet and frozen, my roof is leaking and there is a pile of wet slush in my bedroom and an icy gale coming through my broken w...

I'm quite sure you don't, in fact I know you don't. I mentioned no names did I? I just get cross when people go on about how romantic it is when some of the very old people here are in serious distress.

It is hell though if you do not have a well sealed warm little house. It is snowing here (near to Agios Nikolaos) it is difficult to keep upright as the streets in the village are so wet and slippery. The locals and I are very cold and miserable. It may look pretty for a while but damage is being ca...
