Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

Interesting article from The Independent. https://news.yahoo.com/brexit-boris-johnson-accused-being-112100790.html I am reminded Boris was regarded as no good, when he was n the Foreign Secretary role. If this report is true, then in fact there is no cunning plan for an NI-only deal, and Johnson is...

Re: Latest EHIC & Reciprocal Healthcare

Not sure if this has been posted on here previously, but it was on the BBC News page today. It doesn’t give any information about obtaining free health care in EU countries but explains clearly which UK citizens residing in the EU will get free heath care when visiting the U.K. https://www.bbc.co.u...

Re: UK Food in Supermarkets

Seems like a funny time to try to sell Brit products in the EU, especially if it involves a fairly expensive trip to scout individual supermarkets.

Re: I smelled a rat, and I found a rat

I strongly suspect that, in the case of a hard Brexit*, EU countries might turn out to be more forgiving than the UK. Seems to me that the likes of Johnson and Patel will make political capital out of being nasty.

*increasingly unlikely, it seems.

I risked a few euros betting that he'd set a new record for shortest term ;) 119 days is the current record.

edit: Blimey. I got 6 to 1 and it's now only 2.6 - 1

Re: Greek Driving Licence

...We're both 68 and our recently acquired Greek licences expire on the eve of our 70th birthdays, in late 2020. There's probably a system in there somewhere ;) Very odd. The requirement to renew a Greek licence starts at 65 and is then needed every 3 years. This implies a renewal at 68 and then 71...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

Just checked our licences. My licence, application made at age 59, is valid from the day I made the application to KEP, i.e. 25.2.19 and it expires on 24.9.24, the eve of my 65th Birthday. Andrew's licence similarly is valid from the 25.2.19 and expires on the 10.7.22, i.e. three years to the day o...

an even better article about the fanatical remainers https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-7415349/DAN-HODGES-Britain-grip-coup-led-fanatical-Remainers.html I braced myself and read that. I soon found this: "Mr Johnson hasn’t prorogued Parliament in order to force through a No Deal Brexit...
