Re: Coronavirus, what happens next

I think the anti-body test will be the exit strategy, certainly in the uk where we think over 50, 000 people have already had it, some without egen knowing. A lot of workers could return to work, shops open up, schools maybe open up. It will be gradual i reckon. We are close to the tests now and it...

Re: Coronavirus, what happens next

Perhaps some regional variations might work as long as things are closely monitored. The restrictions aren't really doing anything apart from slowing the spread until a vaccine is available. Of course this is important in its own right but it doesn't get rid of the virus'. I have a nasty feeling tha...

Coronavirus, what happens next

According to this http://www.ekathimerini.com/251114/article/ekathimerini/news/may-10-seen-as-milestone-for-coronavirus-measures The Greek government is looking at relaxation methods for the coronavirus restrictions. As we are all shut away in our little cages perhaps it would pass the time to specu...

Re: Withdrawal Agreement and Our Rights

This bit of the WA must have slipped past me, "the Withdrawal Agreement would remain in place as an international treaty and the rights that it includes for us would remain covered. They cannot be removed even in the absence of a trade agreement. Once the Withdrawal Agreement is in force, we wi...

Parking at Chania airport

It's been a long time since I've been through Chania airport but I have to collect my daughter from there soon.
Is it still possible to park short term immediately opposite the arrivals gate?

I don't know if this has been referenced anywhere before but it helps to explain "The Will of the People". It's also good for a laugh on a rainy day. https://tompride.wordpress.com/2017/12/05/see-20-years-of-fake-news-about-eu-by-uk-press-vote-for-your-favourite-here/ What totally surpris...

Re: Life Certificate

Local KEP is usually very good and helpful so I think I might try there.
If not then I've got to see the accountant soon anyway.
Thanks for the help.

Life Certificate

I've just had a request to complete a life Certificate from UK pensions service.

Does anyone know if a stamp and signature from KEP is acceptable to the UK to prove that I am alive?

Thanks

Re: Greek Driving Licence

Do those categories matter to you? If you continue with a UK licence how hard is going to be for you to get an IDP every 3 years? If at some point in the future you are forced to exchange it how do you feel about taking the full Greek driving test, including the written part in Greek? You need to w...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

I've just been to the local licencing office to start the process of exchanging my driving licence and the very nice lady suggested that I don't bother changing as the Greek licence would only include groups A and B with all the other codes B1, C1, D1E etc not being carried over into the Greek syste...
