Possible scam?

Any body come across this before ? A friend had a chit in his postbox to say there was a package to pick up from the post office, he wasn't expecting anything, so he goes and finds its a registered letter. On opening it and trying to work out the Greek, he thinks it says that " In the event of ...

Having read the previous posts and not wanting a 2000 euro fine, I asked at my local garage (in Sitia) They knew nothing about the yearly "gas" test. So I planned a trip to Ag Nik, stopping off at the nearest IKTEO and asked in there. The answer was yes my car did need the test as it was r...

Hi Karpathoskate, Fair enough, but thats not what you said in your first post ! Had you said "This is what happened to me" then we would know what you went through. Also it would help if you said where in Crete you had to do this. As Ric said rules are interpreted differently in other area...

Hi Ric,

My thoughts exactly ! It really bugs me that other posters make statements that are or could be mis-leading.
So much better to say "In my experience i was told this or found that etc".

However you put it so much better than i ever could.

Keep up the good work.

They sorted my French friends out no hassle at all and all he had was a french ID card, took about 2 weeks including putting a new pole up to the rented property. the address was just a Box number, so...
