Re: Ryanair Cancellations

And now received a voucher for Euro 80. What a joke! Must be redeemed before 20th March. First flight out of Chania starts on the 25th of March.

Re: Ryanair Cancellations

Just got two Ryanair flights cancelled. One Chania to Athens in late October and the other one Athens to Chania in late November. It also seems that Ryanair has dropped most of their winter time-table between Athens and Chania. So had to move on to twice as expensive Aegean. I am pretty pissed off w...

Re: Greek Honey

"Better" is very subjective. As for the price differences, you have market forces at play: Cretan thyme honey wholesales for a lot more than any other Cretan honey because there is more demand for it. That will affect retail prices.

Re: Places to visit

Assuming that you are talking about WWII in 4 hours you can just about go to the Allied War Cemetery in Souda, the German cemetery above Maleme (where you can see the airport), pass though the square at Galatas. On your way (from or back to Elounda) make a detour to visit Imbros and have a quick loo...

Re: Bus times from Vrysses to Chora Sfakian

The bus from Chania will never take less that 35 or 40 minutes to get to Vrysses. Incidentally, as you say you live nearby, call the cafe-cum-bus stop at 2825051177. The guy who runs it is incredibly helpful and I think that he speaks English. He will be able to tell you exactly at what time to expe...

Re: Bus times from Vrysses to Chora Sfakian

As far as I know there are no buses from Rethymnon to Hora Sfakion so you will be relying entirely on the buses coming from Chania. Check the time-table at https://rethymnon.com/TheBus-Bus-Service-Crete/timetabledet.php?line=3&lg=2 and add around 45 minutes to the Chania departure time and that ...

Re: Teenagers & Internet

As the UK is still part of the EU you can now (since the middle of June 2017) use your "home" phone package for roaming within the EU at no extra cost. If you think that you will need to use more data on your holiday it's probably simpler to get an additional package with your normal provi...

I would add to that list politicians, especially finance ministers but also leaders, from EU member states who know the truth but cannot admit it to their own voters. Personally I would put them first.

Spot on!

Re: Cosmote Mobil Bill

Simply call 13888 and tell them that you want a paper bill sent. OTE is pushing for online bills and new accounts will default to it but if you ask for a paper bill they will revert to sending them by post.

Re: Decent Garage or mechanic near Chania ?

not there this week . i went wednesday about 5 pm ! still no one there and closed!

I wouldn't expect any mechanic to work at 5 pm. Try to go during normal opening times (morning to around 15.00 or 16.00)
