Yellowhammer Report

For what it’s worth here is a link to the latest Yellow hammer report that has come from the Johnson Junter the U.Ks Dictatorship. It’s not thought to be the original. P4 is quite interesting as it goes on about healthcare.

Re: Places to visit in Apokoronas/ West Crete

Thank you dear people for your ideas. Great, thats really helpful. Will be arriving 2 weeks today. Can’t wait as the summer in the U.K. as yet has been nothing to talk about. A few nice days though but nothing sustained. Excited to see the temperatures will be up 33/34 which is so nice for swimming....

Places to visit in Apokoronas/ West Crete

Coming over to stay for a holiday for two weeks. Can anyone recommend any good day trips or things/places to visit please. We are going over to Loutro on the South Coast and staying the night. Have been to Chania and Rethymnon on past visits. Also, is there anywhere to buy fresh fish in the Kalives ...

Annual house taxes in Crete

Please could one of kind folks give me an idea of the cost of house taxes in Greece ...say for a 2/3 bed house of around 120 sq metres and the additional tax for a pool of say 40 sq metres. I’m only looking for a rough idea. Is there just one tax or two like France which is over € 2000 p/a for this ...

Here is the link to Brian on the Graham Norton show in the RED chair. He was quite funny and got to walk. The programmes are available on You Tube ...made me cringe in places! Not sure if the link will work...

Cicadas-love em or hate em?

Was in Naxos recently and having lunch under the shade of a cedar tree very close the beach. The cicadas were so loud we were having to shout! I like the sound at a distance but not up close and personal. I’ve heard they are particularly fond of pine trees but presumably they live in the olives too....

Microwave WiFi/internet link

Has anyone experience of using a microwave internet link. The tech company ‘Virus’ in Kalives offer this service. I think you have to be in direct line with their transmitter and they charge for so many gigs of download.

Thanks for this tip on a lawyer. I phoned Kostas Nikolantakis today and he was very helpful and speaks very good English. Will definitely be using him. Thanks for the recommend.
