Re: UK mobile network lookup

My phone has dual sim cards, one with Cosmote & the other with Q. Whenever I go to the UK, I check on their website page, to see which UK operators they are affiliated with & what services are available. With some UK networks I can only recieve incomimg calls, other networks, receive & m...

Re: Ryanair 2020

I wonder if they had originally planned to scrap these routes, but due to the demise of Thomas Cook, have re-instated them.

Re: Quiet Hours

I'm not sure, but I have been told the rules are different for cities & towns as opposed to villages. In my area, made up of villages, the only quiet time I'm aware of is in the summer, 1st June to 31st August, between 3pm & 5pm.

Re: Superbyke 200cc Quad

You say the Quad is UK registered. Unless someone is going to buy it & return with it to the UK, then it would be illegal to use it here in Greece, unless the original inporter re-registers it here on Greek plates. Only the original owner of the UK registration can do that here. And yes, quad bi...

Sorry & way off of post, but after all the doom & gloom of the Brexit posts etc, I had a good laugh at your post! My mind automatically went to thoughts of years ago & the adverts & requests for inflatabile "ladies"

Re: DOG KENNELS

I use Dorothea, a German lady, who has a small kennels business on the outskirts of Dafnes, about a 20 minute drive from Heraklion airport.
She doesn't advertise anywhere, her reccomendations are all by word of mouth. PM me if you would like her mobile number, she speaks English.

Re: The Far East

I knew what standard Hotel Zakros was, the owners were lovely, the room was almost clean, smears on windows & mirrors, clean sheets, towels etc, the fridge was far from pleasant, with a really bad smell, the aircon worked after a fashion, but I was unable to alter the temperature. The ensuite ba...

Re: The Far East

Guy M, I stayed in Zakros itself, at Hotel Zakros, as I was visiting a friend who lives there. It's
a bit of a dive to be honest, but it only cost 52.5 euros for a 3 night stay, including breakfast and all I wanted was a base as I was out with my friend most of the time.
