Re: New! Greek Draft law on Brexit

we will return as we are not paying health insurance for the rest of our lives. Very sad but... It sometimes helps to look at what is happening over a longer period of time to get some clarity, Instead of reacting to media staged events that mostly lead you down a blind alley and distracts you from...

Re: The Will of the People

This could get boring but when some people here write the longest most pontificating posts 24 hours a day when a basic answer will do and then the clique of back slappers shout bravo, it does rather P one off. I have experienced that on other forums where typically a new member appears from nowhere...

Re: The Will of the People

By far the greatest impact of Brexit will be on our younger generation as they will have to live with the consequences of what is going on. They should have a say but UK government resists, being the least likely to be persuaded to Leave as opposed to old codgers like me set in my way. Two years on ...

Re: The Will of the People

And while we are being distracted by all this nothing has changed so we are out a week tomorrow. The only question left outsanding is who will get the blame as that will provide months of further distractions to the far-right travel Westminster politics is taking. The only redeeming outcome may be t...

Re: Water filter taps

I have http://nogawater.com/ro_5stage_reverse.asp

To be honest I prefer a bottle of cold water in the fridge and rarely use the filtered tap. Agricultural water when boiled for cooking or coffee/tea is perfectly ok in my experience.

Re: The Will of the People

it seems fair to say that in this case having only two choices has led to confusion, and we understand why, which is that choices on the referendum did not reflect the reality of the situation. Confusion simply dissapears by holding a second referendum now we are informed of the effect of the first...

Re: The Will of the People

We can in out in out and shake it all about, soft or hard, until we are blue in the face but as with most referendums there were two choices as more than two can lead to confusion. UK law stipulates that we leave the EU on 29th March 2019 and I see no one trying to change that law. A few twists and ...

Re: The Will of the People

I think someone should start a betting line on what will happen on 29th as I have seen or heard nothing that stops us leaving at midnight on that day with police forces now reported being put on standby.

Re: The Will of the People

I guess you could argue for change in UK referendums but 50+1 is what counts except for a referendum held in 1979 that required 40% or more of the registered population to win. The country of Wales trades across the world and many countries trade with Wales. Wales trades within the UK as the safety ...

Re: The Will of the People

This hints at a reason Brexit is causing so many problems. The UK does not have a written constitution. Wales trades with the UK and is ruled by the UK with both reserved and devolved powers. Labour runs the Welsh assembly as an English political party headquartered in London that has a branch offic...

Re: The Will of the People

People may not like the May deal but it is a genuine attempt to implement the decision of the referendum and I cannot see any alternative that even comes close. I would rephrase that to "People may not like the May deal 'but it appears to be' a genuine attempt to implement the decision of the ...

Re: EU joke(s)

The World Economy Explained link shoots itself in the hoof basing its joke on Corporations of countries parodied. Corporations are now run by Multinational and have more powers than many countries making membership of the EU more important than ever where it can rebuff the bargain basement trade agr...

Re: The Will of the People

Quite a poignant point scooby and one that clearly needs an answer. T May is acting increasingly autocratically trying to bypass parliament, push through her agenda without proper scrutiny going to lengths to limit and delay parliamentary access to the impact of Brexit. This is being achieved by a m...
