Re: The Will of the People

There is some near certainty with a no deal crash out that changes everything currently being discussed. Scotland and NI will start the process of leaving the UK. A poll last week of Conservative party members saw 63% in favour of no deal Brexit even if that meant the UK breaking up and regardless o...

Re: The Will of the People

Thanks Warwick you have made that very clear. I would argue that the reach of the BBC extends into print media as well called "The Local News Partnerships (LNP)" https://www.bbc.com/lnp. It is known that up until the 1990's MI5 vetted BBC journalists, a practice the BBC will not comfirm if...

Re: The Will of the People

Are you saying that leaving the U.K. without any sort of deal is a good thing keltz? Is it your opinion that achieving Brexit at any cost is what most Brexiteers want No. quite the opposite really. I don't think we should be leaving at all. There has always been criticism of EU membership but no si...

Re: The Will of the People

...the new Tory party leader don't actually care about all of this because they are too focused on finding a leader to rescue their party from the mire. I read an online blog of this view a couple of weeks ago that gave the definitive timeline on what the Tory party are doing as opposed to what the...

Re: The Will of the People

Back on topic, another great website is https://sluggerotoole.com/. Whatever your view is on Brexit to remain or leave it is worth a read to find opinions you want to know more about. I grew up with News being fed to me passively on TV and the mostly London HQ'd MSM giving me a version of what they ...

Re: The Will of the People

I couldn't agree more that we were and are still being sold a lie. There are two websites I know of that keep track of these false statements coming out of No.10 and being reinforced by a compliant UK media. One website is Westminster focused, on the misleading statements made by the Leave campaign ...

Re: Unsupported hardware Win 7 updates

Windows 10 is fine although different to previous Microsoft OS's in that your license for W10 is dependent on the hardware you install it on. Upgrade your PC and you may have to pay a small fee to Microsoft for the additional hardware support. Buy a new PC you should get a new installation of W10 th...

Re: Realistic Driving Costs

Going outside tourist season means you don't need to pre-book ferries although pre-book accommodation might be cheaper and can extend stay until ready to go for next ferry. Winter tyres may be mandatory if driving late/early in the year. I think each country has its own regulations and when they can...

Re: New! Greek Draft law on Brexit

we will return as we are not paying health insurance for the rest of our lives. Very sad but... It sometimes helps to look at what is happening over a longer period of time to get some clarity, Instead of reacting to media staged events that mostly lead you down a blind alley and distracts you from...

Re: The Will of the People

This could get boring but when some people here write the longest most pontificating posts 24 hours a day when a basic answer will do and then the clique of back slappers shout bravo, it does rather P one off. I have experienced that on other forums where typically a new member appears from nowhere...

Re: The Will of the People

By far the greatest impact of Brexit will be on our younger generation as they will have to live with the consequences of what is going on. They should have a say but UK government resists, being the least likely to be persuaded to Leave as opposed to old codgers like me set in my way. Two years on ...

Re: The Will of the People

And while we are being distracted by all this nothing has changed so we are out a week tomorrow. The only question left outsanding is who will get the blame as that will provide months of further distractions to the far-right travel Westminster politics is taking. The only redeeming outcome may be t...

Re: Water filter taps

I have http://nogawater.com/ro_5stage_reverse.asp

To be honest I prefer a bottle of cold water in the fridge and rarely use the filtered tap. Agricultural water when boiled for cooking or coffee/tea is perfectly ok in my experience.
