Re: lockdown ticket

Yep, €500 is a lot of money, especially if two people in a car get nabbed, then it’s €1,000.
My plan of digging a 10 mile hole to Sklavenitis has been ruined....watched Shawshank too many times, I now know how Andy Dufresne felt.

Re: For Reference

The good news is that the world didn’t end after Brexit. I’m neutral on this but as my o’l man use to say ‘always pick out the best news of any situation, rather than the worse’. Celebrate not speculate.

Re: Roll out of the vaccine in greece

My local KEP confirmed we can’t get an AMKA number as we don’t yet have permanent residence documents and are not yet of pensionable age thus no S1. We are no longer on our UK doctors list or the NHS register so won’t be able to access...

Re: Where are we allowed to go shopping?

I quote this from Helen on her Apokoronas Our Home facebook page ...I found it interesting about using the hand written note. It's a good point. I travelled out of my municipality last week to buy Christmas goodies from the British Food Shop in Ag Nik. I took the precaution of writing my reasons fo...

Re: Where are we allowed to go shopping?

From my experience in Greece, rules are made up depending on the officer, the circumstances, the day of the week, the time of day, whether he or she has had a good or bad day, or whether they just don’t like you or your attitude, either way, as already been outlined, it’s not worth either the time i...

Re: COVID-19 Vaccination

Glad it’s not compulsory, I’m all for vaccinations if they have been properly tested, but my concern is the short testing time, especially when a Lab in the UK said a few months ago that correct testing for any vaccine is 18 months before distributed to humans safely. I’m on the fence here. Your tho...

Get ready for some more starting during the night and through tomorrow. Red alert weather warning . Watch the projection at the bottom of the article. It looks like it is hitting Crete pretty square on this time. Thunderstorms and hail predicted again. Warwick Thankfully, nothing compared to the gr...
