Re: UK gov't updates - right to vote

Just a thought...don’t confuse right to vote with MP representation - every UK citizen is represented by the current MP for the constituency where they last lived, it doesn’t matter how long you have lived outside the UK. If you wish to let your MP know how BREXIT is affecting you and/or ask for th...

Re: The Will of the People

Looks like the truce is over. Have been watching this BREXIT set of pages and have been delighted to see nothing after 24th December. Until the magic spell was broken today. Ah well, it had to happen - just like the snow on the mountains! Bob.

Re: Greek Driving Licence

Yes, you do hand in your UK driving licence to the Greek authority when they issue you with your Greek one. They are supposed to return it to DVLA. Note that your Greek licence has on it the reference number of the UK licence that it transferred from. If you went back to the UK you would then need ...

I'd second that recommendation. Bob.

I was suggesting you might care to expand on the completely inaccurate assumptions. Bob.

Re: The Will of the People

There’s something i’m missing here: a UK citizen wants the U.K. to leave the EU, but wants to carry on living in Crete, which is part of the EU. So, there’s an objection to U.K. being governed (in part) by EU rules, but it’s ok for the individual lo be governed by EU rules. How so? A lot of assumpt...

Re: The Will of the People

Just to clarify a small point in your post earlier Warwick. You said 'Switzerland is not technically within the EEA, but it bilaterally sticks close to its rules, and is not in the customs union and so it also undergoes customs checks.' We were in Geneva last week and took the opportunity to go to F...
