Re: Driving Licences

Eventually when the Officials sort themselves out (maybe 2021) I expect to take the 2 Driving tests, theory and practical as I am at that age.
In anticipation I searched to see if there were some examples of the Theory test. Found a great site

Re: Property Register declaration

And now I've gone to pay the fees online, but the payment code is 6 groups of 4 numbers, unlike other payments I make. Anybody have a clue which authority I'm supposed to pay? The Ktimatologio is not in the list.

Tax and then scroll down for the Cadastre

[quote]Kilkis wrote... I think that this is a link to the pdf application form to which Evansmr1 refers but I could be wrong. It's a bit buried on the web site on this page. Re: Appalling weather

I feel very sorry for you folk in the West of Crete. Here, in the East we complain about the rain and the cold. But, from reports and videos in the Press I really sympathize for you folks. Much worse than we are experiencing. Hope that you are all keeping safe. When will it end?. I will not complain...

Re: Driving Licences

What a crazy Country we live in. The last few posts all refer to KEP processing licence and documentation. In Agios Nikolaos it is so different. Visit to Lasithi Town Hall. A rather Jobs worth lady (being polite) runs the Licence application Office. She gave me the documentation and instructions. To...

Re: Property Register declaration

so as far as I can see there is no need to involve your accountant ... Jeffstclair wrote No need to involve even your Solicitor. It is so easy. I downloaded the documents from http://www.ktimatologio.gr/sites/en/Pages/Default.aspx. The documents are in pdf format. You can email them with questions....

Re: Appalling weather

Lots of people say, we need more rain. Be careful what you wish for. Do not worry, the rain has stopped. No more for a long time. How can I predict this? Today I purchased a new rather expensive umbrella. I guess that I will have to lend it to the wife to keep the sun off her head. If I clean the h...

Re: Annual property tax 2019 (Chania) (zones?)

think evansmr1 is wrong. The online calculator calculates the total ENFIA owed on the property. If each half of a couple owns 50 % of the property each pays 50 % of that tax. ful Perhaps it is the way that my Accountant presents the tax document, last year, as always, two documents, each with a due...

Re: Annual property tax 2019 (Chania) (zones?)

EDIT: Okay i have figured it out, tax is not that high. Unless the pdf is really outdated. Based on 200m2 it's about 470 euro.

If the property is registered in both names each named person would have to pay that sum. That is, if you are both registered with the property,
470 x 2 = 940 euro.

PROPERTY REGISTRATION

I read in our local Greek Newspaper that all Property Owners must register with the Hellenic Land Registry their property by 18 March 2019. If the property is not registered it may be declared to be owned by the state. Registration is to the Local Land Registry or http://www.ktimatologio.gr. Can any...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

I can understand their confusion in your case evansmr1 - it could be a bit of a catch 22 at the moment. In order to exchange your UK licence for a Greek licence you have to be eligible. Now you need a Certificate of extension to prove you are eligible for a Greek licence at age 74 or over. without ...

Re: Greek Driving Licence

[quote][Have you tried simply asking KEP if they can change your licence for you? I changed mine many years ago at a driving test centre but I have renewed it through KEP several times with no problem. If you are under 65 you don't need to have the health and eyesight checks. Once you turn 80 you ne...
