Re: Where to purchase a Pressure Washer in Chania

Coincidence, DanSam, I was researching pressure washers on Sunday too! We've been waiting for them to come back in Lidl - we don't want to spend too much as we only use it once or twice a year - and we're pleased with our previous Lidl one, which finally gave up the ghost after eight years. We can w...

Disused (never used?) building in Omalos

Does anyone know the history of the disused building a few hundred metres up the road to the Kallergi hut? Maybe it's never been used? From memory, it's been getting more and more derelict for 10 years. Anyone know? Thanks.

Re: Car hire deals for repeat trips

To answer the original question, I arranged a hire car for my partner's son from Kappa last year. Chose Kappa because - as you say - they got good reviews. Also, having factored in what they charged for a second driver (nothing) and for full insurance, they actually worked out cheaper than the other...

Hi John,

Off to our vet soon, so will ask. What's the approximate weight of the dog? One eye or both?

Re: Dentists in Chania/Apokoronas

I can recommend Manoli (not sure of the last name, something like Linnartakis). He removed my impacted wisdom tooth very carefully and with no pain at all. I know he does implants. 28210 44855, or 69727 26452. He's on Polytechniou.

Re: Dog on Ferries

We came with our greyhound as foot passengers 10 years ago. We took the ferry from Bari to Igoumenitsa, this being the shortest route at the time. Didn't want the poor dog to have to cross his legs for 24 hours! We booked an extremely clean 'pet cabin'. There are now pet cabins on the route Pireas -...

The Maravel Herb Garden in Spili is worth a trip. Very knowledgeable about the large variety of plants they grow.

Re: Pesty

When was this? The description and tragic behaviour match our neighbour, but he hasn't been here for a month or so. He particularly likes chatting up young girls in front of his wife and that ain't the half of it! An utter turd, imo.

Re: Yellow arrows on the road

Round us, they're for cycle races, showing the cyclists which way to go at junctions. Towards the end of the race, the distance to the line is put on the road too.
