Fillipos your reply has made me very happy!
I was seriously thinking that this insurance was doing to be the deal breaker!
Thank you for making my day!.
Now I just have to wait to see if the figures from my pensions are favourable.
Thank You.

Hi,I'll certainly recheck but have already looked on English website which says that to apply for that form you have to supply either a NHS or national insurance number neither of which I'm entitled to.
Still I'll leave no stone unturned!
Thanks everyone for your helpfull comments.

Hi Moggieman, we don't have that form here.Think you have to have worked in U.K for that.
Jersey has seperate government etc. And I have only ever worked here
If I was eligible for IKA I would be over the moon!

Hi Filippos,thanks for replying.
I'll have a look at the site you mention.
I would love to be able to use IKA,but have never paid Social security in England,so am pretty sure I wouldn't be eligible.
The Channel islands don't have an agreement with Greece.

Thanks everyone for your input. We are coming out in September and will put out some feelers. My original figure is just a Guestimate,I've put in for a pension forecast from both my state and work pension so should have a more accurate figure in a week or so. One thing which I will have to take into...

Hi Everyone,I would just to know if you think it would be possible to retire to Crete on an income of roughly £13,000. Just a quick back story,we have been going to Elounda on holiday for 10 years and have a few expat friends .I always joked that at 65 I would love to retire there. Just this week,I ...
