Yes, and here's the page with the external unit: http://www.ydrothermiki.gr/projects-en.html I've also just discovered that Piscines Ideal in Kalives (Andreas) do them too - the Desjoyaux. They don't seem to have a website, but the system is here - sorry about the long URL, it's a google translation...

Malware & Prevx1

I had some really stubborn nasty malware on my machine, called Drivecleaner & something else I can't remember the name of now. Causing pop ups and download windows to appear frequently. My antivirus, anti adware and X cleaner couldn't pick it up and delete it. After a google search I eventually ...

I haven't seen Vista in action yet but had a good look through the info site and the graphics etc look great. Will wait for the teething problems to be sorted (there will be plenty won't there?!) until I would consider installing it - then I guess I would need more memory to do that anyway. It will ...

My experience is that my kitchen waste turns into fresh eggs!

I save the peelings etc and give to neighbours to feed their hens and they give me eggs in return. Not that I ask for them but they won't take no for an answer.

Sorry Margarita, 'asxeto' with your compost question !

Hi Ian and welcome. Sorry can't help you with Rethymnon, but I know of a shop in Chania which do the filtration system with the unit attached to the ladder. They are on the Vamvakopoulo / Omalos road just outside town. Called YDROTHERMIKI. If you take the Omalos turn off the National road and then t...

Idiots Guide..

It's that time of year again - for tax returns. The 'idiot guide' to Greek tax returns - filling in form E1 - is published on the Athens News website: http://www.athensnews.gr/athweb/nathens.prnt_article?e=C&f=13226&t=01&m=A17&aa=1 Well even the idiot guide looks complicated to me, (...

They didn't tell me how long it would take Paul and I didn't ask as at the time I was upset that the cost would only be 18 euros/month at 1024bps, including the 'line' rental. Upset? Yes because this is the office phone, and at home I'm paying about 35 euros/ month for lower speed! I've just renewed...

While I sympathise with the plight of the turtles from the 'illegal' and political dealings going on Zakynthos, it's a pretty extreme call for action. Boycott the whole island? I would have thought that is the most unlikely way to encourage support for the campaign by any of the inhabitants of Zakyn...

I don't know about the significance of Kalives but OTE phoned my office and asked if we were within 5km of Kalives, and if so then we could now get an ADSL line. Maybe there is a new sub exchange in Kalives? Maybe they've just put in more ports in Vamos? I don't know but it sounded somehow significa...

The default for each forum is 'public' and I forgot to change it to registered only. Bravo Jean, you've probably just saved the board from a few red faces (well mine) from a load of overnight spam. Kalinixta!

Rumour..

Here's something to get this section off the ground - ADSL now available in 5km radius of Kalives. Actually not a rumour but this came from an OTE salesperson yesterday. Can this be true? How far is Kokkino Horio? They don't have phonelines so how can they get ADSL ? Will it be wireless?? I have no ...

HTML easier than Greek?! I'm with Filippos on this one - gave up trying HTML code after the first lesson. Keep telling myself I should attempt it again as it's much more versatile than WYSIWYG, but I get that feeling of dread just at the thought... As for the link - I couldn't see it either before b...
