Re: Medicinal Herbs

Warwick I didn’t think it was your view – you posted to give information. I do agree about fructose though. I make sure I always consume fruit with some of the Carbon Dioxide removed, using a completely natural, organic enzyme process, and sometimes in concentrated form. I tend to have the same view...

Re: What to get - New Computer

Ah! What computer to get depends very largely on your budget for it, and any peripherals you might want. Another major issue regards what you want to use it for. Both are interlinked. So, if you name a price, plus have an idea it's function and anything you want to buy with it, we will all be makin...

Re: What to get - New Computer

It depends how much you want to spend and possibly how you view your life expectancy? Warwick WOW and thank you....there is so much take account of! I am interested in quality - life expectancy would be at least until 2025 (when we may possibly become extinct again!) :) Thank you, I will go to my l...

What to get - New Computer

I would be very grateful for any advice/recommendations as to what I should get as a new computer. My original and very ancient XP machine got its brains blasted just before Christmas during one mega storm. I was lucky to quickly find a friend of a friend’s machine as a pro-tem measure but I would n...

Re: Medicinal Herbs

An alternative view on coconut oil. Warwick Coconut oil is as unhealthy as beef dripping and butter, say US heart experts. Utter baloney. The 40 year old demonization of saturated fats has no doubt contributed to early demise and general impaired health of many people. The original study was funded...

Re: Oh my goodness, what a mess......Greece

I think if you travelled around some areas of Athens you would discover unbelievable poverty, TweetTweet. Some parts are now no-go areas. I don't think Crete gives you a complete picture of what is happening elsewhere in Greece. Neither do official figures. A 25 % overall unemployment rate and 50 %...

Re: Medicinal Herbs

As I cannot yet drink coffee I am trying supermarket herbal tea and have been greatly disappointed. I don't know why you can't drink coffee but if it's because you have recently had an anaesthetic it would make sense. If that is the case then to let the liver recover from processing the anaesthetic...

Re: Oh my goodness, what a mess......Greece

If you would like to kow more then please read Yannis Varoufakis's book entitled *Adults in the Room*. Due to his personal experiences, (and I would say because he is a very good and decent human being anyway), he was not prepared to sell his soul to the devil. He had a plan that could have enabled ...

Re: One toe in the swamp

I think a tax number has to be your first "acquisition" - you (should) then be able to open a bank account, buy a car and get a Resident's Permit.

Why not invest the small amount of cash and buy Carol Palioudaki's book

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2017/04/21/ancient-stone-carvings-confirm-comet-struck-earth-10950bc-wiping/ I think this has a great deal more credibility/relevance than anything else. Re: Termites?

http://www.usesfordiatomaceousearth.com/247-2/ If you use diatomaceous earth it MUST be Food Grade (not the stuff used for swimming pools). Rather than routinely treating the felines in my life with toxic anti-flea spot-on medicine, I've used diatomaceous earth with very good effect. One caveat woul...

Having done some investigation, I think you are right and they are termites.

Do you have lots of small patches of sawdust?

Re: Termites?

I don't think you have termites (in Crete they don't have wings and are very very tiny) - as Warwick said, they are likely flying ants. It's that time of year, they come out to see what's going on in their locale. Although preferentially I don't kill anything, termites are a potential problem. I hav...
