Just a suggestion, if they are taking money from your bank card, ask the bank for a new one, it will have a different number. If the bank don't want to give you a new one, "damage" the card, then they will give you a new one.

Normally you can buy a ticket on the day, last year it was around 20 euros. Avoid Gate 4, this is the die hard, fanatics part, with drums, fireworks, flares etc!

Sorry Kilkis, but there WILL be an IKEA in Heraklion, next to the BMW showroom in Alikarnassos (two minutes from Heraklion airport) the new IKEA HERAKLION will be an "Ordering & Collection Centre". www.ikea.gr

All the places I mentioned are open ALL year round, even though some are tourist resorts & so many places close up in the winter.
I can thoroughly recommend Petousis Taverna in Amoudara, which is open all year, great food!

You can get the bus in easily from Gouves, Gournes & Kokkini Hani which are to the east of Heraklion. From the south west of Heraklion you could look at Dafnes, Asites, Voutes, Ayios Mironas & Venerato. Ammoudara, just to the west of Heraklion, would also be a very viable place to live, you ...
