Re: Alarming rise in cases on Crete.

... and from yesterday's KTG ... https://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2020/08/28/greece-coronavirus-cases-deaths-tourists-august-28/ this line stood out for me: Concern in Attica with over 100 new cases for third consecutive day. Also cause of concern are the number of cases in Cyclades, Pella, Kozani ...

Re: Looking for a Transport Company

Well, thanks for the comprehensive answer, Warwick. I have to admit to being disappointed, though. Not even an arrested apricot or a sentenced strawberry. Still ... sun's over the yardarm - time for a drink!

... They are based just off the Omalos road in Chania behind the Agricultural Prison. Warwick Sorry. Got to ask. Can't help myself. What on earth is an Agricultural Prison? Cells stuffed with corrupt cucumbers, criminal carrots, mobster mushrooms, crooked courgettes, thuggish tomatoes, gangster gra...

Hi Paul
I've had excellent results with PrivateVPN. I think only one or two times have I been denied access to a UK channel in eight months.

Re: Alarming rise in cases on Crete.

Once the tourism season starts to tail off (i.e. once children from various countries go back to school next month), I'd be surprised if lockdowns in Greece weren't re-imposed - locally, if not nationally - in an attempt to wipe out the virus once and for all (to the extent that this is possible). Re: WHAT IS THE FUTURE FOR CRETE POST CONVID-19

The future for Crete looks bad. Do members of the Forum have any idea as to how Cretans will survive the next few years without a mass exit?. A mass exit to where, though? I have two young Greek friends who both now live and work in Newcastle and have no intention of returning any time soon. BUT, t...

Re: Flying Crete - UK

Yep, all totally possible, but i am forever hopeful that the majority of people are being sensible, naiive maybe. After visiting Lidl yesterday, I doubt it. There were just too many people not wearing masks, and just too many people crowded at the 2 available tills. It’s the last time I visit any L...

Re: E-paravolo - how to pay?

I suspect you're right. My e-paravolo payment was part of an ongoing process, so although I paid on the day, the document still has yet to be issued and, in theory, could be delayed if the government department somehow felt they hadn't had their money.

More Restrictions

Crete, among other areas, has now introduced a night time curfew for bars and restaurants in Crete as well as new travel restrictions for entering the country. No more boozing into the early hours. Sorry, Warwick. Tim https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8612343/Curfew-Greek-island-bars-eateries...

M. Phlopp would surely turn in his grave if he was aware of this. Let's hope he never found out. Funnily enough, his untimely demise was entirely due to him losing control of his automobile one hot sunny day.

Re: Maximum passenger numbers in a private car

I'm sitting outside my local taverna on the national road (supporting the local economy and for no other reason) and watching what little traffic there is, there's precious little evidence of any of those rules being observed.
