Re: A TINY glimmer of hope

Andrew was insured with an American company through a Greek agent and as soon as he hit 74 they would not insure him. The agent could offer no other insurance.

Re: Residence Certificates

I don't know about the two Police stations you ask about but regarding the Residents Permit, if you do a search on this forum you will find a thread which lists the documents you will require.

Re: Choosing a New Lap Top

Everyone's comments have been of great value during this decision making process. Thank you! I have settled upon a 12.9" iPad Pro Wi-Fi 512GB, Smart Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil. Yes, yes, I know, Apple again and way over the self-imposed budget. HOWEVER it is my 60th Birthday next month and...

Choosing a New Lap Top

We are looking to buy a new lap top but have had no experience of doing so for many years, so any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated :D . A bit of background: for the last twenty plus years we have bought Apple products, i.e. We currently have a ten year old Mac which won't updat...

Having carried out a search I can see that there was a rep three years ago in Heraklion but she doesn't seem to be active now. Does anyone know if Crete has a representative on the island? I am not lookng to BE one but would like a few things.

Re: Brining a gas bbq to Crete

Ah yes Blakey_Bloke, you've reminded me now - we purchased a flame thrower via Amazon, which came from Germany. We needed a replacement regulator which would enable it to connect and work here.
