Ha ha - you lot are funny :D We won't be driving our four cats to Crete as I think that the journey would be too long for them. We've found a pet air company which is run by vets and they will liaise with our vets, so they will fly. It's wonderful to hear that vets bills in Crete are more palatable ...

Thank you moggieman for the route and I'm checking on the weight issue with B-in-L as don't want to overload him. That said, we're not exactly taking much but books can be heavy!

Yes, and just to clarify, I said we MAY use Nomad. If we need to use a professional service then we will use Nomad. However, my sister and brother in law have just announced that they want an adventure and would like to move our stuff in their 3.5 ton van. Not wanting to spoil their enthusiasm and a...

Sue at Cretan Corner in Aptera does lessons. She has been living in Athens/Crete for the last thirty years and is married to a Cretan. Lovely lady. I think that she only does lessons during the off season as she runs the family taverna in the summer months. Although expensive, I find Rossetta Stone ...

Here here Moved 2 Crete - I like this forum too :)

And once again Filippos, thank you!, we shall make contact with your solicitor.

I've just been clearing the shed as well as our business files for the last 12 years - now I feel like we're getting somewhere

Hi there :D

We may use Nomad too and they have been recommended to us by this forum AND UK friends in Crete. I thought their quote was reasonable and when I've asked questions they have been quick to respond.

Good advice Filippos, which I hope we adhere to! We shall look for a solicitor in the Chania area. Not only for when we buy but also for sorting out our wills. Oddly, we've just had a most generous offer from my sister and brother-in-law who have a 3.5 ton van. They are up for an adventure and would...

Thank you for your very sound advice and we will take heed. This forum and the L in C site and book are our 'bible' these days. At first everything seemed daunting but slowly we are gathering knowledge and slowly the procedures for everything is becoming more clear. It's great to hear that you are s...
