Re: Property Purchase

Cruc on Sun Oct 16, 2016 8:04 am describes ATSALAKIS & PARTNERS as "The only office specialized in providing tax and accounting advice to non-Greeks" :o This is perhaps an advertising slogan but patently untrue. There are plenty of other excellent accountants who can give tax advice t...

Re: Property Purchase

When we purchased our property we used Rita Daskalaki who had been recommended by 4 other people. She helped us with everything from setting up our bank account to obtaining our tax numbers and also recommended our accountant George Atsalakis who was also very helpful. Both made the process enjoyabl...

They seem to be managing to turn a simple statement about heating oil into 'another of THOSE threads'.

Re: Electric Bill

So we went to the electric Company to find out why we had not received a bill since May 2016. I normally received my bills electronically but nothing since May. The May bill included a rebate of the deposit we paid less the amount for the electric used which gave us an amount of credit. So we took a...

Re: the pound

Oh yes and Mark Carney is worried about the little man in the street. He is no better than the rest of the so called MP's in Parliament who are there to line there own pockets. MC will earn £7million if he serves the full eight-year term as Governor of the Bank of England. He is paid £874,000 a year...

Electric Bill

Up until May this year I would receive an electric bill roughly every 2 months. Once we received the bill this would be paid online but, it’s been over 3 months since we received our last bill? Has anyone received a bill recently or have things changed :?:

Re: Capital Controls.

Going back to the original question, I was told by a friend last night that the withdrawal limit is completely different if you have transferred money into Greece from outside. Apparently you can draw out up to 30 % of the money transferred into Greece each week in addition to the €420. I have no e...

Goodbye-ee, goodbye-ee,
Wipe the tear, Europe dear, from your eye-ee!
Tho' it's hard to part I know,
I'll be tickled to death to go.
Don't cry-ee, don't sigh-ee,
There's a silver lining in the sky-ee,

Re: UK Referendum

Well the polling stations are open and this time tomorrow the UK may be Europe FREE. But if we are free of the European dictatorship I wonder what steps Dave and his merry followers will try to keep us in. I think that should we vote out then this could be the beginning of the end for the EU. It cou...

Re: UK Referendum

This is from the Greek people. Open Letter to the UK citizens about the June 2016 Referendum Dear British voters, United Kingdom joined the European Community in 1973 and it is worth to mention that the people have not been asked prior signing the membership agreement. Only two years later, in 1975 ...
