We have about 5 bags full that we want to donate. Someone said the KEP in Kalyves but there was/is a number of people trying to help with the refugee crisis?

Re: Removal transport required within Crete

Nomad couldn't do intra Crete as they didn't have a licence and given the potential penalties had stopped doing it. Maybe the new owner has new news though so worth asking. We did find friends who had some transport but we were only moving 15k and had a lot of flexibility on times and dates. Best id...

Re: Registration certificate and adequate funds

I think the hospitals find it much easier to deal with the admin if the EH1C is used as private insurance means a lot of details and paperwork and credit cards cant be guaranteed as to limit so ....

Municipal Neutering Program

Nothing to do with politics but everything to do with picking up abandoned kittens who can fit in one hand. Addressed at the Apokoronas Διμοσ specifically [who have been very active in trying to solve this issue] but hopefully it will help similar programs in other areas. This petition is to show th...

Re: UK/GR Tax Discrepancies: What happens if.....

I am no longer an accountant [and never was qualified in Greece] so this is only my opinion but - If you were tax resident in Greece then you pay on your world wide income - ignoring government pensions I believe. You would need a good accountant to say whether the Greek authorities would tax it sep...

Alternatives

As Sky slowly degrades to useless I'm looking for an alternative BUT I can't get a landline and CYTA aren't rolling out to Neo Chorio so I have satellite. 30Gb download limit with 'unlimited' 11pm to 7 am. I am using SKY on demand which works fine just now but given subscription costs not maybe the ...

My wife used to enjoy gardening with her friendly Robin in the UK. This was before we got our two Burmese cats!
Love the pictures!

Re: getting it right before we move

To an extent you can decide once you are here on a lot of things but the car can be a real PITA. We ended up driving back to the UK and friends sold it for us. HMRC are usually quite happy to advise that unless you have 'no intention of ever returning' then you are deemed as UK tax resident :D This ...

Car Tax

I seem to remember that there was a detailed though simple explanation of how to print the necessary for the bank from on the forum?
Tried to search but it wont accept car tax as the words are "too common".
Can you help?

Fiberglass

Can you get fiberglass here or is there an equivalent? Durostick[?] seems to do a resin type product but without the fiber element.
Without using Nomad I cant get the resin delivered from the UK.

Re: Property Tax, latest.

Does the deadline for payment of 30 Oct still stand? Like most i was told come back next week. If we all go back next week the system will definitely crash!
This assumes I can get to the front of the queue for ENFIA as I cant get an appointment as no one knows when the system will be working

Re: Calling SKY

Thanks.
Couldn't justify Sky Sports anymore with BT taking that much. I did manage it online -finally - but don't try the 'chat' function as they can only add not subtract packages
